Veeder Root 6 Digit electric counter . Does it work ?

SO I have a Veeder Root 6 Digit ( model B-120506 ) electric counter . I rigged up 110 to it . Plug it in and it started buzzing ! When I did plug it in I think it advanced 1 digit I heard it click ! So there are 4 places on the bottom that have screw posts . Is there a way to jump them or something to see if counter advances ?

they dont look like wire connection screws, just case screws holding the unit together

Why ? because there is no insulation between the screws and the case

The unit counts the number of applications of 115V. Every time you switch it on it will advance ONE step so you have to 'pulse' the 115V supply for it to count continuously.

The front panel does not look right for an elapsed-time indicator, so it probably is an impulse counter. A small 115Vac solenoid ratchets the wheel mechanism. Sometimes these units do not like continuous activation, so drive with a pulsed signal. You do not need any external current limiting.
