Want to charge 350 mah battery with tp4056 but current is too high

I have a 350 mah 3.7v lipo battery and I want to charge it with tp4056 charger module but it says module gives 1A max current and its too much for this battery. I saw they change the current by changing a resistor. Should I do that or if dont, will it harm the battery?

It'll work! It will not harm your battery.

Yes you should do that that's what it's for it's for programming the charge current. It gives the equation all you have to do is put in the values. They call it chug & plug on a calculator.

Once it is programmed for 350 milliamps. You cannot use it for another battery that may have a current capacity of 400 milliamps.

There is a small modification where one changes the sense resistor (R3) to give apropriate charge rates.
The manufacturer spec even includes recommended values.

Use a 5k potentiometer for Rprogram

Problem with using pots in these circumstances, is, as most already know, the pot can be screwed to one end and create a short condition, not good for the whole shebang.

To lower the charging current, you need to change the value of the RPROG resistor

RPROG=3.4K Ohm's=353mAmp's
