Hybrid IC voltage regulator

Hi Walid, Sanken makes many hybrid circuits, mostly audio amplifiers.

A hybrid is a combination of a few separate parts that are connected together then sealed in a package. It is physically different than a monolithic IC that is one chip.

OT but way back we called TV-sets containing tubs and transistors hybrids!

New electric/gasoline powered cars are also called hybrids. Two different kinds of flowers combined are also called hybrids.

hybrid is also used to grow animals and plants. If you buy a hybrid chicken this chicken will not be able to produce chicken. If you buy a hybrid tree it will not produce further trees.

That means you have to buy over and over for good profit of the breeder.
