Well, I am planning to use an LCD for my project.
The datasheet for HD44780 appears ambiguous in context as to how many lines of display does the chip provide ? and how many characters per line ?
Sometimes the datasheet refers to the chip (DDRAM) being 40-character long.
Whereas at some occasions it is refered to have only 8-characters per line.
Please can some one help me on this ?
