I have a zipped project (can't remember where I found it) with the boards in *.pcb format. Which program opens them? Any way I can import them into Eagle?

Try to use a text editor to open it first and check the header see if the file belongs to which program.

Many software packages use this extension. I have several in my archives that I made on various programs. I have to try opening them in one program after the other until I find the one which will deliver a board layout. Thanks for the tip Trigger. I will try that the next time I run into this problem.

Trigger the header writes:
PCB FILE 9 VERSION 2.70

I found the site where I downloaded it from and in other projects this guy says he used Protel. So I guess it might be the same.

Is there any free demo of Protel?

Thanks, Nikolas

I use a cheap program called PCB Wizard that saves the file in *PCB format
and they don't have a free trial . The prog only cost about 50 bucks.
                  good luck gogo
