I HAVE A HOME MADE WIND MILL I GET 40 VOLTS AND 40 AMPS I NEED A SCHEMATIC ON HOW TO CONTROLL THE VOLTAGE TO 15 VOLTS ..THIS IS FOR 12 VOLT BATTERYS TO RUN MY CABIN  DC  PERMANENT MAGNET MOTER

If you were able to finished the whole windmill, 40 to 15 volts convertion is just a chicken.. :p
Try to Google it out..

Hi Bob,

Welcome to our forum.

If you got DC output you need a switched DC/DC converter or you will get heat losses. Try to find one ready built, they are not easy to construct from scratch when 40 A is involved. You might find one that they use for electric forklifts they sometimes have an adjustable output 12 – 14.5 V. Electric forklifts with 48V battery have converters which runs at 32 to 60 Volts input. What’s the size of your 12V battery (Ah)?
