I have a webcamera which is connected to a 7.2V DC source, and i need to transmit the data from this camera to a PC. The range can be up to 1 kilometer away. What is the best way to do this? Does the communication have to be two-way, or is a transmitter by the camera enhough?
How is it presently connected? Depends on what you have. There are many different packages out there. Normally all you need is a one way communication, but if your computer program sends an acknowledgement to the camera then you will need two way communication. If there is a memory in the camera and the communication has any CRC checking, you will probably have a two way communication.
