Interesting that IE6 SP1 consistently brings up a "Stack overflow
at line 0" warning on that page. It's got a ton of script on it. I
hope it's not trying to exploit any of the defects in Windoze...

I used Internet Explorer 6.0,2800.1106 SP1 to view the data sheet, but did
not get any stack overflows.

What's causing the errors is their lycos ad-management javascript. It's a
really lame way to do ads if you ask me. It's designed to show a new
window when you close the current one.

Thanks for the explanation. I've got Ad Shield running, and I know
it's got a few strange bugs. This is probably another one of them. :)

Cheers,

Anybody remembers the Signetics' Write Only Memory (WOM)?
http://ingemeda.tripod.com/wom.html

Yep. It was originally product released in EDN or Electronic Design
magazine. Signetics then had a contest asking for suggested
applications. I submitted a fair sized list and was rewarded with a
plastic disguise mask and a printed data sheet. It had eye glasses, a
fake nose, and fake eyebrows. Most of the applications listed on the
data sheet sound like mine. I believe it was used in early Unix
machines as a /dev/null depository.
