YI car camera hacking

Hi,
I have a couple of YI car cameras, which send vision to a mobile phone, and saves videos on an SD card.
The range is poor, so I'm exploring different ways of imroving this.
Either boost the wifi, or find the composite section on the schematic, and transmit it via radio.
Any ideas welcome.
