  1. audioguru,

i appreciate your quick response. This schematic looks a bit more complicated than I would like to build. Are there any stable transmitters that are a little less complicated?

Also, Is building a receiver for one of these transmitters very hard?

I would like the transmitter to send the audio from the microphone to a receiver and amplify the sounds through an 8 ohm speaker. I have never seen a schematic for a simple receiver.

    Thanks again

  2. Hey audioguru. Thanks for the reply.

Can you send me a copy of your schematic. The one I copied off of says not to use an electrolytic caps, but I don;t have any ceramic that go higher than 550pf, so I substituded other for them.

Also, I am not using magnet wire, I am using plain copper wire. I am not sure it will work unless I get the magnet stuff.

If I could get a copy of your schematic that would be great.

Also, if I use pcb or Veroboard do I have to solder the parts before I can even test it? I am not familiar with those types of boards.

    Thanks again

Thanks for the link, but I have been there many times and the only info on Wireless intercoms ends with a broken link that doesnt work.

I guess I just need to build a FM transmitter and receiver to get this to work.

I was told there are IC's that already handle this. Is this a better way to go?

    Thanks

  4. Thanks audioguru.

I will look up something like "low power RF transmitter". I believe I saw a schematic for this here:  http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/rft1.htm

Then I would need a reciever on the speaker end correct?

How do I set the frequency given off by the transmitter and set the receiver to receive that same one?

    Thanks again

  5. I have built an intercom off of the simple 200 GAIN design specified on the datasheet of the LM386 IC.

    http://cache.national.com/ds/LM/LM386.pdf

I have thoughts of trying to get this to be a wireless intercom.
This would be for only one microphone to one speaker.

I am not sure where to proceed from here. I have read that I would need a RF transmitter, but I am not too familiar with all of this.

Does anyone know of any tutorials that would be good to read, or any simple circuits I could look at that could explain how to make this wireless.

    Thanks

  6. I am using

      1K resistors for Rb,
      a 1M resistor for R2,
      a 1K resistor for R1,
a 10uF cap as already seen,
a .47uF cap for the coupling cap from the mic to the IC,
a LM741 IC and a 68uF cap out of the IC to the speaker....

Sorry for not posting the specs

  7. I am trying to build the following circuit:

    http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/amp2.htm

I purchased the electret microphone at Radio Shack:

    http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

This mic has 3 leads; Red, White and Ground.

How do I hook up the 3 leads on this circuit since it only shows two connections to the mic?

    Thanks
