The project recomends the ICL 7107 IC but as i couldnt find it I substituted it with a ICL7106. The onlty difference between the two is that the 7106 drives LcD while the 7107 drives LED's.
My questions: > Can i modify the circuit in any way to make the 7106 drive led's? > Is there any discreet 7segment displays in LCD format? Whole LCD's are way too big and expensive. > can i use LCDs salveged from calculators? If yes, how?
