No that is not it.
it was either the collector or the emmiter that doesn't have an actual pin, its connection is the case. It is round kinda like a button with two mounting points stuck out on each side. I can't remember the name for these transistors. Ring a bell to anyone? -
I need a SD-1700A 6746 transistor or datasheet for it.
It has a logo on it that is a capital "S" unpainted inside a black block.
It is part of the regulation circuit for a bench supply. I have been trying to find information on it to get a replacement or comparable
component. If anyone has information on this please post here.
I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

They have a wide selection of parts. Have them send you a catalog, its free has alot of thier stuff in it.
