Dragonaga
I'm doing the project entitled above for my final year thesis project. I have some ideas to put into the project. The light controller will not only can be setting manually with the preset function but it will also equip with motion sensor so the light will turn on when it detects motion of somebody (this is useful at night because it can save energy and it will turn on only when it detects person walking pass it). It should have a time delay between on and off, my suggestion the delay time is 15 minutes. i also have an idea tu equip the light with LDR so the brightness of the light can be automatically controlled depends on the weather (this feature is useful in daylight such as during raining or cloudy or haze)So, i would like to ask anybody opinion about my project. What electronic components should I use to implement this project? And how i want to control the two sensors between the two periods, day and night using the PIC. It's because i have to plan it carefully before I buy the components. I want to thanks to anyone who response to this. ;)

prateeksikka
hi there!have u thought of any sensors or transducers which u are going to use for this project?
Dragonaga
i'm using PIR(pyroelectric infra red) for the motion sensor and LDR(light dependent resistor) for the dark activated sensor.
