How to connect a power supply to my connector

Hello,
I have recently got an electronic device (a type of torque sensor).
In the delivery box, there is no power supply and no cable.

In the data sheet its written that I should use a 230 VAC/24 VDC power supply with 5 VA power consumption.
You can see a picture of the connector of my device.

Which power supply I should use? which output current ?
How should I connect a power supply to my device?

The imprint on the chassis states 24V. Therefore you need an external power supply that is able to deliver 24V (DC) and at least 5A. The imprint on the chassis also clearly shows where the +24V and GND go plus a connection to protective earth. You'll have to connect the wires from the power supply to the respective pins of the connector to match the imprint.

So if I supply my device with 0.2 A and 24 VDC, it means that I give 5 VA=5 Watt of power to my device.
In this case my device will consume all this power (because its consumption is 5W). Is that true?
So I need to power at least more than 5 W? Right?

I have a supply source which can deliver 24 VDC and 2.5 A. This should be OK? Is there any risk to damage the device?

5VA (W) is the max. power required by the device. Typically it will require less, depending on the mode of operation. The power supply neeeds to be able to supply the max. power.

This is o.k. It is a common misconception that the nominal current of a power supply is forced into the load. The load (device) is supplied by the voltage of the power supply and will draw only aas much current as required. If the supply can deliver more current, the surplus will not be used.
