Hi All,
I made this small and simple but powerful voltage booster for breadboard prototyping and use with microcontroller. I've posted the files and you can make your own. Or buy one from the funded Kickstarter campaign. I have ended up using these all the time since I built them, so I thought you all might like to take a look too:

That's a neat idea, I like that.... Although I rarely use bread board these days. Will it work with Vero board?

The pin spacing is probably slightly off since breadboards aren't a nice even number of 0.1" increments

Yes it seems to fit very well.

I desolder the usb connectors and attach my own aa battery holder...
