Should i short the chopper transistor for a ac adapter?

I am working on a project to melt a paper clip and i am going to short the chopper on a ac adapter from source to drain.

Is this dangerous because my ac adapter has 2 amps? Will it pull out more then two amps?

Not without permanent damage - let the smoke out etc.

But the internal fuse will probably blow first.

You will need a lot of current and a lot of energy. Use the PSU to charge a colosal capacitor through a resistance and discharge it through the paper clip.
