Hii!!! I'm new here..
I've fooled around with basic electronics and coding all my life, but I'm in NO WAY a pro.
So, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, I thought to ask the people that know for general directions on wich way to go...

It's pretty simple and straightforward.
I need a 2 displays to show 2 digit numbers each, and 2 buttons per display(one to count up and one to count down).

I need each display to show red numbers from 0 to 15 and then start again from 0 to 15 but with green numbers.
If I could use a microcontroller, it would be best since I'm kind of familiar with them.

Space is limited:
For power, I can use 2 AAA batteries.
For the controller, displays, and buttons, I have 77mm x 100 x 8mm approx.
I could increase the depth a little bit if needed.

What do you guys think?

Color OLED display, say I2C to save pins, for the digits, and a general purpose micro
to drive it and scan buttons.

8mm will be pushing it.......just a bare cell would be at least 10.5mm....but that depends .....never seen a ruler with " a little bit" as a unit of measure.

Show what you have done so far.
In regard to this project, there is not much other than researching it and weighing my limitations.
Again.. I'm not as savvy as you guys, but I learn quickly and consider myself resourceful.

I do not expect you guys to do it for me. I'm just asking for general details (as many as you would like to give) on how you guys would do it, and I will take it from there.

Great... may I ask what you would consider a "general purpose micro"? Are these programmable?

I'm still LOLing at the ruler comment. It's good to know about the space constraint. I guess I will have to modify the design to accommodate this.

I'm attaching some pics of where I'm coming from with the idea.
Where I come from, we have a very popular card game called "Truco".
This is a "Truquera," which is basically a box you use to carry the card deck and keep track of your score while you play.
The idea is to make the one you see on the pics, but digital...
