do passive rc filters have problems with 10GHz + frequencies?

So, does it happen with spark gap oscillators too?

Why is it PNP instead of PPN for transistors

Can you reverse the polarity of the emitter and collector and it doesnt even bother it? they are both P type on a PNP, why label them any different.

Why is it PNP instead of PPN for transistors

Looking on the net does not solve the issue, I've been doing that. By some scientific transitor internals maybe it is PNP but it looks pretty confusing on the surface if your thinking of connecting one P to positive, and one P to negative, Why call it P, when it should be labelled N...

do passive rc filters have problems with 10GHz + frequencies?

And another thing - do spark gap oscillators show ringing at gighert frequencies? If not, it means the ringing is a problem caused by the transistor in the oscillator.

Why is it PNP instead of PPN for transistors

Nope. How can it be positive connected to the positive of the supply and POSITIVE connected to the NEGATIVE of the supply!!!

Why is it PNP instead of PPN for transistors

If you list emitter base collector in that order, its actually a PPN transistor, not a PNP transistor. You list it emitter collector base, for PNP. and thats not how I like looking at transistors. So this is right, right? That confused me for a while, because look at this t00t from...

With respect, in what way would YOU re-use these?

Make a Darlek robot from dr who. :)

do passive rc filters have problems with 10GHz + frequencies?

I was looking around on the net, and I stumbled apon a video which showed the rise time of a square wave oscillator causes ringing if its short enough, and is a problem in old logic boards/IC's. Is this the same for capacitors? I mean is there some problem capacitors have with high frequency...

    multivibrator circuit

Oscillators arent easy to make in my book, but theres guys here that think they are really easy and they can help you more than me.

    multivibrator circuit

If there was a capacitor in the circuit, you change for a lower farad rating and its the easiest way to change the frequency, with no capacitor here I dont know what i'm even looking at! =) Does this circuit go really high frequency? with no caps to slow it down thats all I can think of...

Newbie Questions - sequential led lights

This circuit works, but it has to run on ac, not dc, oscillator not included. then you dont need a microcontroller. (look mum no microcontroller. :))

Noob question - clap activated pcb

To detect a clap, you could detect something really loud, followed by the ambient noise in the room, which would be changing over time, depending on what else is on in the vicinity. Pretty tricky if u dont understand electricity, but a fairly simple project if you do.

    Water tank sensor

I'll have a go at anything, works or not thats the other question :) , but running out of energy to get more experiments going, I still havent implemented bugger all, but I dont blame myself I'm so fatigued every day.

    Water tank sensor

So you just want to light 1 led at 200 ohms, to 4 leds at 4 ohms right? And everything is working great other than just that? Just grade the resistance off the output of the sensor- then the leds with the higher resistance will turn on later than the ones with less resistance. If your...

    Understanding of the circuit

Looks like to me the capacitor C59 is discharging through that resistor R26, I dont know if that helps, but it would be emptying itself as it fills.

    What is power rail

Do they call it a rail - because it supplies all the parallel connections to the circuit? (in a bar type form, on the top and the bottom, im talking about.)
