    Transistor Price Question

Found a broker who'll supply some transistors I'm looking for. The price seems extremely high. Does anybody know if these transistors are really so rare that they're worth the price? The guy wants $77 each for: J2067 J2076 J2078 J2318

    Solar Cells

Interesting to me, thought I'd share it: NASA Tech Briefs www.techbriefs.com January 2014 Applications Silicon Vs Gallium Arsenide Silicon solar cell panels are less efficient than Gallium Arsenide On top of that, gallium arsenide runs 10% cooler than silicon. On top of that, as silicon...

    IR15R1A50 ?

Anybody know an equivalent for an International Recitifier IR15R1A50? Talked to IR, they 'divested' this product line to Vishay in 2007. Talked to Vishay, they didn't continue this device in their revised equivalent product line. (In fact, they didn't keep any of the IR data on this device at...

    Craftsman 139.53920DM Garage Door Opener

    Heat Sealing ESD Bags?

I got a bunch of the ESD bags that look like aluminum foil. Suppposed to be for ESD and humidity protection. I've also got a heat-sealer that is described in the catalog as an 'impulse' sealer. It appears to work by sending a high current to a heating element in the sealer, that melts...

    RCA 61456 (In a TO-3 Package)

At the bottom of the box is a bag of RCA 61456 in a TO-3 Package. They don't show-up on Google either. Anybody know if these parts are some kind of proprietary number? I've got a lot of RCA 4xxxx TO-3 Power Transistors, they show-up on Google, but this one doesn't. Wondering if anybody...

    RCA 39628 (In a TO-3 Package)

I just got a bag of RCA 39628. My earliest RCA Data Book is from 1981, and the power transitors start at 40250. Does anybody know if these are early power transistors, or maybe power diodes? The places I Googled don't find anything for this part number. Thanks

Large ring tongue lug terminal manufacturer?

I just picked-up a bag full of large (stud size) ring tongue lugs, made for probably a 8-gauge AWG wire. They're stamped 'RD705', with no company ID. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this part number and might know who made them. Of particular interest to me, is that they are very...

    LH2715 Advanced Micro Devices

This can package was made in 1975. I just spent two months sparing with AMD. (And Google has nothing). There's no mistake, it clearly has the AMD logo on it. AMD says they can't find any information on this device. Anybody have an old 1975 era AMD data book, or know where I can obtain a...

Old Cinch TO-3 Socket (small footprint) equivalent

I'm looking for the smallest footprint TO-3 Transistor SOCKET I can find. Originals were Cinch (no longer made). It's just the socket pins in a triangle shaped plastic housing, with mounting screw-hole in the triangle (can't take a picture of it). I don't have room for the transistor...

    Part number with '77' prefix?

Got two 14-Pin DIP's I'm trying to identify: SGS 7709393 Fairchild 7709393 I was leaning toward the old Fairchild FU5B series, but am confused by the SGS chip. I've got some old Fairchild FU5B77xxxxx, but they're all in can packages, no DIP's Is anybody familiar with either of these...

    Fluke Part # 298 281

Fluke is very secretive about their part numbers. I'd like to know if anybody has any information on their part #298 281. I recently acquired (an opened) Fluke part package (from old test repair gear). Inside are 7 each, J2317 transistors with date code of 1988. Somebody wrote 'one set' on...

    Connecticut

Another tragedy by a nut case and a call for 'stricter gun laws'. Nobody's saying about the handguns yet, but the .223 cal was BANNED in that State, that has the 4th strictest gun laws in the U.S. The 20 year old shooter used an illegal weapon in his State. Another media ignored detail...

    Analog Devices AD40321

Anybody know what this device is? Date Code 1984 I can't find a data sheet on it, Analog Devices doesn't show it in their data sheet base. I crossed it (I thought) to a Fluke 448 985, but a supplier that has Fluke parts says the AD40321 is a Fluke part number 357 830, .... so I'm confused...

    Philips A-440 Transistor

Want to replace a couple complementary transistors. Philips A-400 (NPN) I've found a reasonable NTE cross reference for. The Philips A-440 (PNP) is the A-400 complement. NSN#5961011584376. They're both obsolete. I found an old spec sheet on them, but was wondering if anybody knows where I...

    UMEC Proprietary Surface Mount Transformers

Before I break out my magnifying glass as tweezers to dissect these things and count the number of turns, I thought I'd ask if anybody knows anything about them. Obtained a large number of UMEC SM transformers, but UMEC says they're proprietary (in-house) numbers, and won't give me any info...
