    Crystal oscillator 15pF load

How can one verify a crystal oscillator has a 15pF load if any kind of testing equipment such as a scope probe adds capacitance to it, it seems impossible to verify the waveform without modifying it?

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

I fixed the stability issue with a 100Ω/10nF RC to CS and now its about 90% efficient!

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

So theres a bit of a stability problem, it doesn't affect the light output but when I turn up the LED current to a certain point the gate drive signal goes crazy. I think I've established by watching the inductor voltage and changing the LED current that if the MOSFET turns on again while the...

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

IT WORKS!!! I replaced the 100Ω CS damping resistor with a ferrite bead in addition to the gate ferrite bead and then it was just a matter of supplying it with sufficient power as I'm using current limited bench supplies and the MP4008 latches off if the supply drops below 12v when its starting...

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

So I finally got the capacitors and finished it but theres a problem, it starts boosting but after about 1.5-2ms at somewhere around 20v the MP4008 gate output goes haywire then it shuts down. After conversing with Gary Church of MPS I have narrowed it down to the ringing at the MOSFET gate when...

24.576 MHz resonator for audio interface

Any particular type or output format? I dont know If I could solder one of those packages with the contacts on the underside, I do have a heat gun attachment for a gas soldering iron but its easy to overheat things with it. Edit: How about this I can use it in a breadboard? It has a load...

24.576 MHz resonator for audio interface

I'm considering making my own kick ass S/PDIF DAC using a TI PCM1794A and an ON LC89091JA but I'm stuck on the section in the LC89091JA datasheet page 9 about the resonator, it seems rather "GET IT RIGHT OR DIE" to me, it seems like I need to get the capacitor values right specifically for the...

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

I somehow committed to using a rare capacitor of which there only 4 in the world available to order and they are in japan and will take another week to arrive ordered from RS Components. KTD101B107M99A0B00 try finding that.

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

I got the PCB and soldered most of the components then realised I didn't order the output caps... D'oh So now I have all but the MOSFET and diode, 12V 1A regulator for the regulated fan output and the 2 big ceramic output capacitors soldered...

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

Sorry to keep posting by my self but just for the record, upon further analysis using a 70mΩ 1% shunt the efficiency at 42.15V 0.1279A at the LED and 12v 0.478A into the boost converter mockup seems to be about 94%.

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

I made a circuit on a breadboard using the inductor and MOSFET for the prototype board with the 20Ω gate drive resistance of the MP4008 from the driver and a Picaxe to generate the PWM signal so I could see what kind of efficiency to expect. I dont have a reliable way to measure the low current...

Car power to constant current 3.6A 50v boost converter

I gave up on the AL3353 for the above reason and went back to the MP4008 and finally settled on the PCB design and ordered it and the components, now we wait 10-15 days and hope it works after I assemble it.

Power indicator LED for 50v+ supply

I've selected this LED but its the brightness for a given current I'm not sure about, I think I will go with 10k on the output as Bluejets suggested and 2.2k on the input, I just need the output LED as a warning that its armed and dangerous.

Power indicator LED for 50v+ supply

I already considered a BJT and suitable resistors but board space... its only an indicator LED, I dont want a relatively large 555 circuit. Keeping in mind I have to be able to solder the components with a standard soldering iron.

Power indicator LED for 50v+ supply

I would like to have an indicator LED for the output of a boost converter but a simple resistor>LED would consume about 500mW and require a relatively large 1W resistor and I really don't want to use so much power just to see that the output is live. So Is there a solution that would use less...

    Create controlled 50v pulse

Just an interesting fact (if my calculation is correct), the same 3μs pulse of light could freeze something moving at the speed of sound (343M/s) to within about 1mm.

    Create controlled 50v pulse

The fastest thing I have is a 5500RPM 14CM fan with a velocity of about 38M/s at the tip of the blades, this is with a 3μS strobe:

    How to create dll file

If you are still waiting for an answer, none of what you are saying makes any sense, "Dynamic Link Libraries" are a library of functions that are loaded and executed by an executable(program). What program will use the dll and what code do you want it to contain?

    Create controlled 50v pulse

This is more about the science than the photography, I love learning these things and experimenting. That's one mighty PCSS you have there, do they give out free samples?:p I got 5 of the SFH 203 P so it doesn't matter much if I discover a limit. I misunderstood your explanation of the circuit...
