New to electronics. Toaster Oven disassembly question

The first concern I would have with that project is SAFTY ! Fire hazard and electrification hazard. Since you say you are practically a novice take those very seriously! This project tends to go the improvisation way which in most cases defies safety. So take extreme care! In addition I think...

Can I repair/reconnect printed board connection?

I Think it is worth a DIY try. The most you would lose is some time if it fails. There may be a way to bypass the "fine soldering job": On the right side you can solder directly at the device pads. Look to the left of the traces, where do they connect(a photo),if its to relatively large pads...

    Pointer and it's use

Well, A pointer is a very important tool in Data Structures. Pointers are very helpful in creating, manipulating and searching "linked-lists". The pointer is the connecting item of the list,it does that by pointing from one list item to another one. Here is a starting point.

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

O.K Duke, Let's take it step by step to solve this problem, from #5,the answer was given by Ratch at #6 We can treat this simple circuit as we do with resistors only. Equivalent cap and resistors values: The calculations of capacitors in parallel is like that of resistors in series(addition)...

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

Dear duke, Some problems ,like this one,are so basic and trivial. This is a school question, and as such, all parts(and conditions) are assumed to be ideal, that goes without saying! They should be answered with paper and pencil and should take you less than a minute to complete. The fact that...

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

It is astonishing, truly so!o_O What the hack do you need LTspice for? If it were resistors only ,not capacitors, would you use LTspice? Assumptions?trivial really. All components (and wires) are ideal. If you must, then initial conditions :all voltages are 0 volts.

    Electricity Consumption for Ceiling Fan?

If you are cooking on gas stove cooker, the wind the ceiling fan creates will disturb the cooking significantly . It may be more effective to use a standing/wall fan which lets you control the wind direction away from the flame.

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

Duke, I have changed the values intentionally, (assume steady state and ideal battery and caps which is obvious for these questions). If you can't answer the simple question at #14 ,it is back to school amigo ;)

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

No one asked or is interested in the current(at any time/state of the circuit), it is totally irrelevant to the question.period! Why are you needlessly complicating things? It is a simple Voltage Capacitor Divider question for a novice in the stage of learning DC circuits(who probably didn't...

POWER QUALITY ANALYZERS and use with different brand current probes

Looks like it may be possible. That EP1 can measure DC voltage and current. They do use a Hall effect probe for DC called PR150 and PR1500. You can compare it 's specs to the Fluke you have. I think it would be wise to consult DRANETZ here

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

@Ratch, That is true, but for beginners it is a simple steady state homework question,no need to complicate the issue. And since it is homework,we only need to guide, not solve it for the OP. @duke37, here is a simpler question, solvable as a capacitor voltage divider: Find the voltages and...

Voltages - continuation of the discussion

It has nothing to do with DC blocking. All the capacitors will conduct current till they are "charged-up" to a final DC voltage. In the steady state (t--> infinity) there will be no more current in the circuit and capacitors , each capacitor will have a voltage depending on it's value and the...

    Voltages

Well, this is merely a different and somewhat compact way of drawing. These questions are a kind of trick question for the novice , since the novice is used to see drawings in "squares forms ", they would sometimes use arches instead of straight lines to create confusion. Or even build circuits...

    Electronics for prop control

Dear Hop, being honest is still highly regarded and honorable...it may not pay your bills though. My friend, you should learn a lesson form that ordeal. A detailed work contract should be signed before the start of such work. Stating the minimum pay(per hour,and/or the minimum amount of hours)...

Don't let the "diagonals" confuse you. Draw them in the "straight" way for more clarity, like so, (fill in the reset and calculate).

    RS Analogue Multimeter AMM301

The analog meters are very simple in structure, only resistors are needed. The only silicon(if at all present) is a pair of back to back meter protection diodes. These meters from a serious manufacture(RS is a sticker only) are far from being toys, like an AVO. I own a Japanese Sanwa analog...

    RS Analogue Multimeter AMM301

If you can zero the reading in the X1,X100 ranges the battery is fine. The fact that the X1K,X10K don't work properly is due to: either bad contacts on the rotary switch (marks visible) try cleaning withe Servisol-10 (or other electrical contact cleaning material), or bad values of these ranges...
