    27vDC 6a from 115vAC

Hi Harald. I meant to say that a DC motor is rotating an AC generator and any voltage fluctuations in the DC to the motor will change the Hertz cycle rate of the AC output..colum

    27vDC 6a from 115vAC

I need a variable power supply that will supply 27v DC at 6a from 115v AC to drive a small motor generator.. would this circuit need to be regulated in order to have a stable frequency at the AC generated...Thanks for your help and please keep in mind it needs to be variable ...Thanks...colum

    Fiber Optic

Hi Harald. Its single glass wire that is too thick to bend and is certainly glass and I understand that a cable that can transmit an image is called coherent but this cable must be a 100 ft so I doubt it can transmit an image..I wonder if theres anyway to cut the ends and leave a flat surface...

    Fiber Optic

Hi Dave, Don't know how to post a photo yet but the ends are small optical lenses that probably enlarge or concentrate the beam and a mechanical coupling...colum

    Fiber Optic

I rescued 2 large rolls of fiber optic cable, one roll had the ends still attached and one rolls optic ends were cut off, I wonder if anyone knows a way I could attach an end or use this cable in some other way, the glass wire is quite thick and when I remove the many coatings including the...

    Free small motors

Hi Green Giant. I wonder who wrote that comment on your response DON'T BE STUPID I'm new in this forum and I hope its not too frequent anyway I have 2 motorized wheels with DC motors and one pivoting wheel and 2 extra DC motors (they all work) and a rechargable battery, all were taken from a...

    Generate 2ph 60cy 115/115v

Thanks duke37 that is great information and I already have those ICs..There are 3 wires equally thick coming out and the same color and one is grounded to the side of the motor..I will try to look inside to see how many poles, once again thanks for your help...colum

    Generate 2ph 60cy 115/115v

Thanks for the advice but the only info I have is 2ph 115/115v and it could be 3ph because there is a third wire that is grounded to the motor..I may be working on this for another 30 yrs..colum

    Generate 2ph 60cy 115/115v

Not sure how that would knock one phase out 90deg but I have a plan to hook up 2 small AC generators on a double shafted DC motor and manually offset one shaft (and then go out and buy a WW2 plane HA HA thank you for the laugh) and then bring the results up to 115v/115v..I do love...

    Generate 2ph 60cy 115/115v

Keep in mind that I need 2 inverters that need to have their phases offset exactly enough and that is the problem ..colum

    Generate 2ph 60cy 115/115v

I worked with 3 phase 220v and each leg to ground was 115v yet the total was 220v. I was told this depended how it was generated. I don't have access to 3ph any more and I want to run a small motor generator that calls for 2ph 115/115, 60cy in the motor and the output is 115v AC at 400cy So...

    Capacitors DC in AC cts?

Hi duke37 Thank you for the information, the motor calls for 1.5mfd and I suspected that a DC cap in an AC circuit would need a high voltage rateing if it could be used at all...Thanks...colum

    Capacitors DC in AC cts?

I have a small synchronous 120 v AC motor that is going to power a tracking device. It calls for a capacitor so can I use a DC capacitor which I have plenty of and anyway what is the difference in construction not including the polarized DC caps I know they wouldn't work on AC.. Thank you for...

Not sure what you mean about the 10x10x10 box but I was hoping to give a motor or 2 to someone repairing a machine anyway that size box would be expensive these motors are steel and brass

    Free small motors

Hi everyone, at one time I was an avid builder of robots and machines that would track stars and planets for telescopes and cameras however the technology has changed and I now have a collection of Synchronous motors and DC and AC and steppers that I no longer need so if anyone wants a motor let...
