Do I need a step down adapter?

I take it the resistors are failing now that you have increased there power dissipation? Do you happen to know what the power rating is of the resistors? Or at the very least the resistance value of each resistor?

    New Power Supply

I said the same thing to myself. The way the switch is drawn it looks like when one part of sw1 is on the other part would be to. What voltage range are you looking for alfa? I like the idea of using temperature to control the speed of the fan. How do you plan on implementing that, PWM?

blank TV, viewable menus, powers off only with unplug. HELP!

Hardware == physical parts You will just have to open it up. But think about a computer, you got a bad video card. Do you change the sound card or the video card to fix the problem? I guess you will have to open up the TV and poke around, be careful, when the tv is plugged in there is a...

Help and Advice for a personal project.

What rating is the relay you are using? But, to give you a general answer, you will probably need to use a transistor and switch the relay that way. This is pretty common when you need to drive a larger load then the IC can source. It will reset every time.

I Have a Board That I Need Produced...

Well you haven't really laid out a price you are willing to pay for this work. But if for say you do get a PCB made of this circuit I do have a manufacturing house that I do recommend. They charge by the square inch (so you know it is american) and you will get 3 copies of the same board. I...

    CNC idea.

for that price you could just buy a pickit2/3 from microchip. The programmer/debugger is still just one part. You still need to buy a pic that is capable of doing what you need.

    New Power Supply

some people use this as current limiting, but that is near impossible to do with a static resistance on the output of the LM317. You make a very valid point, this configuration is setup to be a constant current source. U3 and U6 are the current limiting devices I suppose. aren't the capacitors...

blank TV, viewable menus, powers off only with unplug. HELP!

Heat, the longer it stays off the cooler it gets so the longer it takes to heat back up before the issue shows up. An old trick some use is to take the unit apart and while apart turn it on and spray air cleaner over the electronic components causing them to cool, when the problem goes away...

    Batteries Discharge and Recharge time.

I don't think you want to apply 2.2A constant current to a li-ion cell till it's charged. There is a proper method http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries

    Help asap

pull down resistor on the input pins. You can not leave pins floating. I am sure if you read the datahseet for the IC it will state something very similar.

    pot difference

you will decrease the sensitivity of the voltage output and will increase power dissipation in the potentiometer. Other then that, you should still be able to get the range you need.

Need help with schematic to veroboard!

For me the best way is to look at the schematic and do point-to-point connections. For example, you see on the schematic that pin 1 of the opamp is connected to a resistor and capacitor. The other side of the resistor that is connected to pin 1 goes to pin 2. etc. It is really not that hard, if...

Need help with schematic to veroboard!

What exactly are you having problems on? There is a hundred ways to probably build that circuit on veroboard. Just follow the schematic, making sure that each connection is made. A guy on youtube, "hack a day", has this approach that he uses highlighters to follow a schematic. He places a part...

blank TV, viewable menus, powers off only with unplug. HELP!

quick look at the manual, chapter 8, says other problems. Restore to factory defaults, see page 27. I would start there!!! then you can read the manual and re-setup the tv following the instructions. If it don't work, then you have bigger problems.

blank TV, viewable menus, powers off only with unplug. HELP!

Well from your description of the problem I would think it is a hardware issue and less likely a software issue. Google might be most useful in this situation, try to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Replace Switch on circuit board question

I could see you using one of those big red emergency stop buttons you see on industrial machinery. Any local electrical supply house would carry them. They are plastic and removable, so you can paint them any color and would hold up to a stomp. Hell you could probably stand on one and it would...

at low frequencies, at high frequencies you would want to add "lots of surface area" to that list.

    Relay chatter problem

Either that or buy a bigger inverter which would cost significantly more then either or haralds suggestions. I think the rectifier, relay and extra cap would work pretty well and not increase the price to much.

    guitar electronics help

Disclaimer, I don't know squat about guitars. But, common sense tells me that the new switch and the old switch are the exact same except the new switch has one less pin because internally they tied the two commons together. Are you telling us that you already tried to hook it up the same way...
