    FM Transmitter

I took apart the remote from my sons remote controlled car ( he is 2, and the remote is very basic ). It is a 27MHz remote and I tested the distance and it works very well throught my house. Shuold I try building a very basic 27 or 49 MHz remote used in RC cars or walkie talkies? I am sure I...

    FM Transmitter

OK, that makes sense. I appreciate all of your great help. I may look into something else to try out with this. I am glad you know what you are talking about :) Hey, one more thing..... I have seen FM transmitter and receiver IC's.  Could this do the trick for me? If one IC sends the signal and...

    FM Transmitter

Have you ever seen an example schematic for a transmitter/receiver that run off of something other than 88-108? I am really wanting to make this thing wireless, and with the limitations of IR I don't think that will be possible to use. Should I pick up a book on RF and get to know it better...

    FM Transmitter

So you still need to build an FM transmitter for a baby monitor device, but the transmitter is not sending a frequency between 88-108 correct? I am wondering if this is even worth trying!!  :-\

    FM Transmitter

So am I understanding this correctly?  You are saying that a radio is pretty much the only thing that should be used as a receiver? If so, what is a good solution for a wireless intercom, or a baby monitor? Do those run on FM transmitters or some other type of transmitter? Thanks

    FM Transmitter

audioguru, i appreciate your quick response. This schematic looks a bit more complicated than I would like to build. Are there any stable transmitters that are a little less complicated? Also, Is building a receiver for one of these transmitters very hard? I would like the transmitter to send...

    FM Transmitter

Hey audioguru. Thanks for the reply. Can you send me a copy of your schematic. The one I copied off of says not to use an electrolytic caps, but I don;t have any ceramic that go higher than 550pf, so I substituded other for them. Also, I am not using magnet wire, I am using plain copper wire...

    FM Transmitter

I have built this simple FM transmitter. http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/fmt1.htm I have attached a picture, sorry it isn't the best picture Is there any other way I can test this without trying to find the transmission on my radio? Thanks

    Wireless Intercom

SM2GXN Thanks for the link, but I have been there many times and the only info on Wireless intercoms ends with a broken link that doesnt work. I guess I just need to build a FM transmitter and receiver to get this to work. I was told there are IC's that already handle this. Is this a better...

    Wireless Intercom

Ok, I have the intercom system working! I just want to seperate the microphone to one part of the house and leave the speaker on the other side of the house. What is the most simple way to acheive this? Please help.  Thanks

    Wireless Intercom

Thanks again audioguru.... One more question.... what exactly is the difference between a FM transmitter and a RF transmitter? Would either work for this project, and would one be a better choice than the other? Thanks

    Wireless Intercom

Thanks audioguru. I will look up something like "low power RF transmitter". I believe I saw a schematic for this here:  http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/rft1.htm Then I would need a reciever on the speaker end correct? How do I set the frequency given off by the transmitter and set the...

    Wireless Intercom

I have built an intercom off of the simple 200 GAIN design specified on the datasheet of the LM386 IC. http://cache.national.com/ds/LM/LM386.pdf I have thoughts of trying to get this to be a wireless intercom. This would be for only one microphone to one speaker. I am not sure where to...

    Audio Amp

I switched over to a LM386 design from the datasheet and it works like a charm. I appreciate everyone's advice VERY MUCH!! Thanks again

    Audio Amp

I am using     1K resistors for Rb,   a 1M resistor for R2,   a 1K resistor for R1,   a 10uF cap as already seen,   a .47uF cap for the coupling cap from the mic to the IC,   a LM741 IC and a 68uF cap out of the IC to the speaker.... Sorry for not posting the specs

    Audio Amp

I have built the following circuit but the sound quality is terrible. Any ideas on how to make the sound quiality MUCH better? I am using an electret mic and an 8 ohm speaker.  Thanks

    Electret Mic

The specs of the mic say that Red is V+, White is Output and Black is Ground... Will this work with the schematic since it only shows two hook ups to the mic?

    Electret Mic

I am trying to build the following circuit: http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/amp2.htm I purchased the electret microphone at Radio Shack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search This mic has 3 leads; Red, White and Ground. How do I hook up the 3 leads on this circuit...
