    Building my own bench drill

Here the back side of the pillar showing teeth. I will post pictures of everything once I have advances.

    Building my own bench drill

In fact, I took the camera with me yesterday, but as the work failed I did not took any picture. Well, I took one of the teeth of the pillar. I will post it next week. Sorry On the other hand, I have not done much advance on this project yet. I will post pictures of it once I make a significant...

    Building my own bench drill

Chris, re-reading this again, have to say that I'm not sure about which question fron me are you not certain, as the only question that i have asked here are about the anti-virus alerts that the ImageBam pictures. I have not asked any question about the drill itself, as I really doubt that any...

    Building my own bench drill

Yes Chris, no problem, althought I will not use those teeth as they are tiny and weak and they will not stand the require force for operation. On the other hand I don't have a suitable cog to operate with the teeth. I'll take the picture tomorrow as I don't have this pieces where I'm currently...

    Building my own bench drill

I uploaded this picture to 4shared. Not sure if this would give anti-virus alerts. Let me know. this is how I want to build the sliding arrangement

so i got a new toy

Your all wrong. The T1000 is currently working for Homeland Security, asisted by Walter O'Brien's Scorpion Team. He's a good guy now. :D

    Building my own bench drill

Hi Chris. I did not posted any picture of the broken cast iron piece. Sorry. I don't think that I know anybody here who can braze cast iron. The pieces that were machined for me are the anular pieces around the pillar. For further explanation of what I want to do I wanted to upload a picture...

    Building my own bench drill

Well, yesterday, I tried with no success. Today, it seems that I can. Thanks. Here is the other picture. This project is a bit delayed as I need some welding, and I'm waiting for the right guy to do the that work.

    Building my own bench drill

I can not upload any file to the forum. When I attempt to do it, there appear the following message: The following error ocurred. There was a problem uploading your file. <filename> With no further explanations. I don't know why. Some time ago, I was advised at Electronics Point to use...

I can see them OK, but CDRIVE's alert must be taken into account. Anybody?

    Low value resistors

The four wires connection is intended to measure the resistance. It can be achievable with anything which has high input impedance. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-terminal_sensing http://www.seaward.co.uk/kelvin-bridge

    astable

In my modest opinion, 2,5μA could be induced by noise y the transistor could get cut, if the noise induced in the oposite direction, so the relay could get "crazy". My two cents.

    Low value resistors

Are you measuring the resistances?, a four wires connection could help, but as the other members has said, what is the purpose?

I don't think that the 1,7Mohm resistor in the base of Q41 would be enough to saturate it, in order for the relay to work. I think that transistor is working on its limit of saturation. You're using an NE555. Couldn't you use another 555 timer in monostable configuration to provide such delay?

    Inverter 12V to 220V

The output of such converters is not a sinewave but squarewave, so there should be some appliances that shouldn't be supplied with it. Anyway, try to keep the electrons inside the wires, if they reach your body, you will learn why the lamps glow. Lamps doesn't care if it is a sine wave or...

Instability on a diferential output amplifier

I will do that. I have some 5.1V Zeners. But I think that in that case I would need to add a forward biased diode in series with the Zener, to compensate the thermal drift of the base-emitter junction of the transistor, wouldn't I? I can make the current lower, no problem on that. Let's say, 1...

Instability on a diferential output amplifier

Well, while in the College, the professors always said that it is better to bias a long tail pair using a constant current source, as the resistance seen by the diferential pair from their emitters to ground is almost infinite. I can find the proper explanation in my books, but I don't remember...

Instability on a diferential output amplifier

Have to apologize. As BobK noticed and explain in the post #2, the collector resistor of 1K are very low. Indeed, that is a mistake while drawing the schematic. They are in fact 10K, as BobK suggested. Sorry for that. Sorry, I do not understand this question. Which 55V rail? Matched, no. At...
