    So does that mean only electrolytic caps are polarised ? And what is ESR? But either way , if I was wanting to build my own circuit from scratch how would I know what type to choose ? Does it depend on the job I want it for, ie smoothing a current/circuit

    looking at the board there seems to be two mounting points for the caps, do you think its possibe i could order eiter ones because of this, or again is there another reason there mounted in the holes thay are?
