    Yes, it's an estimate. I have 300V charging voltage and my ignition coil have a turns ratio of 100:1. So. 300*100=30,000.

    I use NE555 astable oscillator circuit.with separate power supply. Tried before that generator shared dc supply. But the square wave generator becomes inaccurate. It double or triple its output frequency due to "noise". So, I have to use separate power supply and plug it far from CDI.

    In automotive ignition system. Variable Reluctance or signal from Reluctor was converted into square wave pulse as trigger signal to ecu or cdi. Why do you still have to convert square into sine wave reluctor signal?

    Testing lighbulb using multimeter

    Some Multimeter unable to emit sound if measured resistance was below required resistance for buzzer sound or continuity test. Mine was 40 Ohm. That is, it will measure 106 ohms for working bulb but will not emit beep sound.

    Have you tried test your multimeter probes have no loose connection or reads inaccurate reading? Should reads low resistance around 1 ohm if probes tips shorted together.

    After reading your post. I look again the schematic diagram of my multiple spark cdi project. I think , I can now solve the intermittent misfiring due to high current electrical noise in ground and dc supply circuit. Thanks for the tip.
