Thanks Bluejets
I should better articulate my goal. The idea is to put a surround around my guitar pickup; much like putting a frame around a picture. On that frame will be leds so that when I flick a switch, the leds will blink. I had not considered the battery drain. The only saving grace is...
I am circling back to a project I undertook when I first got into electronics.
The project is to install a ring of LED lights around my guitar pickup.
I envision powering the lights with a 9 Volt battery. I probably will use 10 LEDs or so.
I realize that I will need a step down resistor...
Well, that one did not work as well. So either I'm defective, or thre circuit is- both are possible. lol
@AG...I am offended at the rat nest comment...lol- kidding.
I wired it twice since then, with all the components- and it does not work. Maybe the timer thing is the defect. But I'm sure I...
@AG. I agree. Something is shorting. I may have to find another schematic because despite trying different cap values (Bertus- I just swapped out various values), the LEDs light but don't pulse. Perhaps an alternate schematic may be the next move.
Hi Bertus- yes, the capacitor is the right value. However, I noticed errors in my wiring and that I had missed the second capacitor. When I re-wired it however, it still does not work . I have a purple and a green LED that have thre same ratings. Te purple one lights up and dims when I turn the...
Thanks Bertrus. I breadboarded it and it is not working. The two LEDs light up, but there is no pulse. Rather, when I turn the pot, one of them brightens and dims with the turning of the pot, and the other does not seem to do much, but it is lit.
I am attempting to build this metronome on a breadboard.

I have an initial question:
You will see a 100K and 18K component in the schematic. There is a line crossing out the initial values. I assume this means that the builder tweaked the...
I have a newer build that looks better. I will post it when I get a chance. I’ll license it to you. Lol
by the way, this model, in my line of designer pedals, is called “The Jorneyman”
Thank-you Bertus. Here is a link to the user manual.

The frequency coverage starts at page 9 in the manual, I n vcase anyone wants to see the manual.
I don't know much about frequencies. Given today's environment...
Thanks guys. The additional leds are just for aesthetics. I can revert to only one, if it will cause a voltage drain challenge. Having three is not important.
