repair Tribest Sedona SD-P9000 dehydrator -- low DC voltage from power board: maybe rectifiers or caps?

Look for dry solder joints, magnifying glass if necessary. Give anything suspicious looking a jab with soldering iron, flux and thin resin core solder.

    Switches to fill surge bin

Any sensor would need to be "guarded" in such a way to avoid false triggering from the incoming product. Time of Flight ( small radar sensors) might be applied as would possibly "weighing" , both requiring an amount of programming. A "tilt" sensor suspended via 3 points could be used direct...

repair Tribest Sedona SD-P9000 dehydrator -- low DC voltage from power board: maybe rectifiers or caps?

Thermal fuses you show in #5 would normally test zer ohm. One appears as 129 degrees C the other as 133 degrees C. When replacing, crimp do not solder terminals.

    Switches to fill surge bin

Define " dry product". Also bin material, steel, concrete, plastic or other. Can sensors be mounted say top of your bin in such a way as to remain undamaged .

    Mercury 80 throttle.

Sure looks like a standard everyday micro switch to me. ...............and yes you do, waffle on (that's bulldust for the uninitiated) Can only say one thing about "I know boats"

    Mercury 80 throttle.

No idea what you are waffling on about. It's a run-of-the- mill micro switch. They mostly will handle 10A. If it does not suit your taste, go to Mercury themselves and pay $50 or more for the same thing. Chances are they will send the office girl down to a washing machine shop and pick up one...

    Multimeter DT-9205AA

Maybe the Op could extend oneself and comment either way but your explanation would be feasible.

    Multimeter DT-9205AA

There are a LOT of circuit diagrams for the model you quoted. I have no idea why other than that model has been cloned by so many ( most plausible) Try it for yourself on a Google search. Still think you are better of throwing the thing in the bin and forget it.

    Vizio power board issues

If you look on the web for smps repairs you might get lucky to fix.(switch mode power supply) They are mostly similar, enough to follow through your supply and make sense of it. Not a job for beginner but with a good multimeter you could get there . The switcher device/s are the hardest worked...

Sensor for finger drumming (piezo, etc.)

Once made a knock sensor for my Dad (motor mechanic) Previously he used an extra long screwdriver with the handle shoved in one ear and the screwdriver blade on any suspected source. I used a " magnetic earpiece" as used in some crystal sets, with an aluminium rod afixed to the now removed...

    Mercury 80 throttle.

Ebay, Amazon , any lecky supplier, electronic stores, washing machine repairer, appliance repairer, microwave ovens will have 2 or 3 at least. Do a google for your area.

    Multimeter DT-9205AA

As I said, it may or may not be the problem with voltage measurement but one thing is certain, it should NOT be cut in half.

    Vizio power board issues

What is the problem with it? Appears to be a fairly basic smps.

I smacked my finger with a big hammer

Could well be broken. I'd tend to get a doc look at it as things like that can turn nasty. Apprentice at the foundary had steel drop on his foot. He let it go and they cut his leg off below the knee 6 months later. 9 months later, off with his leg all together. 3 months after that he died. True...

    Mercury 80 throttle.

Looks like a standard 10A run-of-the-mill micro switch available almost anywhere.

    Multimeter DT-9205AA

Maybe no connection to your fault but it looks like the shunt has been cut in half. As for the circuit, google ct-9205 circuit diagram for images

    Help with kitchen receptacle

What a load of coblers. As quoted, you are not a lecky, whereas I am. As for the conne tions to any conductors, nonoe in the pic are yet done so comments are a a little too soon.

    Comedy Thread

Dad used to wash carby parts during repairs in an old cake tin with petrol. We were telling our neighbour how the cat came in the shed and drank the petrol, after all he was a workshop cat. Next thing we know, cat was off running flat out around the workshop, must have done 10 laps, then just...
