Power supply help for air purifier

I'd tend to get that grey x2 cap checked for value. I've seen many timers, daylight switches etc. etc. use that same non-isolated voltage drop arrangement where the cap has gone out of value.

Might be a good move to check your photos before uploading. One in #20 looks like the moon is in an eclipse..........

BLDC motor control using PLL with IC 4046

Brushless motors alone are not really made for precise speed control but you might be able to attempt it with some form of feed back as in an optical device etc.

Power supply help for air purifier

Looks like the 335k grey cap on the rear may be responsible for setting up the voltage as well as a couple of other components there (zener) Looks like possible joint problem with one, maybe just the light. Don't know why the board is black where the cap vias come through near R11 and R12. One...

Usually that means the photo is too big. I think 300kb is about right.

So the power to the unit is turned off then. but this says otherwise. Best is as Martin said, do any testing without any mains connected and use continuity on the multimeter. If you don't know how to do that, it will be an uphill battle. Best look up some videos on how to do. Btw...your...

Soldering battery cable to existing solder joint

No idea what you refer to as a battery cup nor what you refer to as a 4 pin hirose. Best if you show a photo of what you have there.

Most likely fault is further on. As in #2, post photo of the board both sides. Martin, I think the "cracks" are due to the way the photo was taken. They can also be seen to the right, mid-air.

Controlling lights, fans and pumps in hydroponics

Possibly. Not up on Rasberry Pi but I do know they are used in new versions of the space invader cabinets as a pc so a search in Rasberry Pi forums might reveal something. I still use a plc that was written for the old Windows 95 on an automated crankshaft grinder I built here so maybe there are...

    I need a sensitive audio trigger for a 555.

Maybe use a touch switch instead. Can be made with a couple of small transistors in darlington setup.

Change 3 phase Steam Boiler to 3 phase Hot Water Boiler?

Yes it will. Use the thermostat shown to operate a contactor , 3 phases in and assuming 415v, star the three 240v elements together, done. Thermostat shown also has an overtemp cut out which will work in conjunction with the rest of the layout just explained.

    Looking for a countdown relay

Well why didn't you say so in the beginning. Usual approach there is to use a micro controller, much simpler as there is usually at least a servo, any nunber of switches, and possibly lights and other motors as well. Micro monitors the switch and does ceratin programmed operations dependant on...
