I read it right first time and my answer still applies.

    Am i testing it right

if they're measuring mains, there really is no option on a single phase supply Op, when you measure each side of a particular load with reference to neutral and you get 250v on both sides, it simply means there is a circuit through the part but no neutral to complete the circuit..

    Seeking Front Panel Silkscreen Alternatives

There was an application over at modezero forum where the bloke there restored an old reed radio and used some form of laser printed film for the new front panel.

    Help revive dead Lanyu airpad

A dead 3v7 (assume LiPo or similar) is dead and recharging should never be attempted once pd gets below approx 3.0V As for the rest it is difficult to say from a distance.

    Solenoid not working

It was quoted as a combination of zener diode and resistor as the OP quoted, hence zener resistor.......merely a form of shorthand. Quite agressive little responder aren't we.

    Solenoid not working

your zener resistor will not work like that.

Stacking Transformers for Ultra High Voltage

Agree. High voltage arc over is the biggest hurdle when winding a basic ignition system coil and that's only a couple of thousand on model engine coils.

Don't see that working at all...........as I see the connections in the photo

    I make it 0.15 ohm 5%.

Power switch for commercial citrus juicer

You must have better eyesight than I to see any terminals or markings...or is it just a wild guess to be different..?

Power switch for commercial citrus juicer

When using a lead which plugs into a power outlet, the double pole switch is required to cut both conductors as one can never be sure the outlet is wired correctly. Therefore, switching the device off with just a single pole switch, may not actually isolate the active from the appliance. With...

    Shorted turns tester

This is the test meter I finally ended up building and thought i'd show it here for anyone interested. Tested it on the secondary of a small 15v transformer that has a dc resistance of around 7.5ohm as measured with an everyday multimeter. Shorted the test leads BP-1 and BP-2 together with the...

Power switch for commercial citrus juicer

All pretty much the same. First 2 are simply relays which latch in and out with the mechanical buttons and the last a mechanical rocker type. Cannot see the detail on the ratings for the current and voltage. One point is if this "project" involves running off a plug in lead, the switches will...

Is it possible to repair radio ?

Looks to me like this has already been "attacked" due to the chook scratch solder repair done on the input capacitor link J11. Other plug/sockets appear to be bent out of shape also. It is quite obvious which is the power in etc. as the board is relatively well marked. Is there lack of signal on...

AC Electric Motor Running Fast Without Load But When Load is Applied Runs Slowly

Now that would have to be a first for the rotor to come adrift from the shaft. Seen many motor faults in my time but never seen nor heard of that. Must have been rattling around inside the stator like a rock in a tin drum....surprised it hasn't stuffed the stator from poling.

Potentiometer contact surface between carbon track and solder pin lost its conductivity

Perhaps try to re-rivet the connection. Depending on the circuit, it may not need the third connection point and you might be able to end for end the connections. Therefore the dodgy connection not required.

Potentiometer contact surface between carbon track and solder pin lost its conductivity

One can see the actual carbon trace starting and ending long before the termination point. Possible one might be able to clean a small area close to the rivet point both on the trace holder and the rivet and drop on some solder. I would tend to think fine 60/40 solder, appropriate size solder...

Is it possible to repair radio ?

Intermittent faults are difficult to locate however you could start in and around the switch area and test for loss of battery voltage. The photos are a good addition however it is not possible to enlarge by clicking on each image. Not sure how they normally do it but someone here will know...

    Newbie Question 18650 Powerbanks

Just be aware that video is from 2012 so whomever sold those could be gone by now. Obviously still a possibility but who would know unless one does the same operation. I've had 18650's from Ebay that work just fine for long periods of time now.

    GOSOIT Water purifier

Replacing the cap might get it up and running but by the looks of the last photo, the wiring from the diode symbol should lead to the inbuilt LED which gives backlight to your display. Without that you have nothing displayed, or rather, be able to see it. If you can track this back to a...
