    Pedal generators are nothing new, Alfred Treager invented one for the flying doctor back in the late 1920's. Everything else related to generators ( on this planet at least) have pretty much been done so out of the box thinking may not be much help.

    LED replacement solves any shorted ballast problem.......open ballast requires shorting wire fitted. Also low heat from LED solves cooked lampholder......still a right pain to get out but can't have everything I guess.

    Just took it to be Motor Car...pays to be more specific. However, motorcycles also use a pulse driven indicator cancelling device as standard. Or perhaps it's a microcontroller......??

    Those fitings are a right pain in the butt to get out so maybe damaged when lamp removed. Not so....I have seen commercial fittings with iron core ballast.

    The 2 wires in the video are a dead giveaway. Whether it has a blue case or not is irrelivent. Commonly known as continuous rotation servo. There are videos on youtube on how to convert a standard servo.
