    Fishing trolley faulty....again

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere but without any further photos or details , not much we can do. You have to remember, we have no idea as to what you have in front of you and, being holidays I forgot to charge the crystal ball batteries. :):) Look for corrosion anywhere or burnt cable or...

    Problem with resistor

    E(volt)=I(current)R(resistance) W = I squaredR...would hardly get hot.

PlayStation2 clock is dead, but battery is still good

Not likely. Only place for that would be some PS2 hack site or similar.

PlayStation2 clock is dead, but battery is still good

As kellys_eye and many many places on a Google search have said, cmos battery faulty. Perhaps yours has a broken or corroded track or connection to the battery. Have you check and traced this out at all..??? Typical response to no orb spinning, time reset to factory build date...

    PWM shielding

Why would you need to shield the motor cable, it's not an input.

Advice re inductor on motor neutral

Forgive the french, but the motor would blow the crap out of those things in the first few milliseconds which is why I objected in the first instance. Thanks M...I'll look into it a bit further along those lines...much appreciated.

    Wind Detecting Circuit

Must be a while since you bought a hall effect switch...5 here for $2.17 delivered. Used a couple now and work fine. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5PCS-KY-003-hall-effect-magnetic-sensor-module-for-pic-avr-smart-carOJ/264209889401?hash=item3d8422f879:g:xhsAAOSwmXpb-MVQ Surely the friction of the...

    Wind Detecting Circuit

Hook the 3 cup unit to a shaft and an aluminium/timber(whatever...just not steel) disc with a dozen or more small magnets and a hall effect switch module on the side. Surely that would detect even a light puff of wind.

question: car amplifier at home (diy)

Why..?? They've been around doing their job quite well for the last 100 years or so. Pretty sure Dave9 was referring to the cost perspective, not necessarily the "best" as you quoted. Batteries are not referred to as Watts.....capacity is Amp hour. Motor vehicle batteries also are rated...

Best way to check if micro-USB connector is soldered correctly?

Fine, then check it first, then plug it in and continue the test. It's called "process of elimination".

question: car amplifier at home (diy)

Normally high power output systems run at a much higher voltage than a 12v supply, current requirements being the killer. Even most car amplifiers are designed for around 16v which they never get. What sort of current requirements in your system, no one here knows. Perhaps it might be...

    Question nylon 6.6

It's a piece of plastic. Don't think it would stand too much heat. Then again are we talking "sunshine" or "exhaust" temperatures. Nothing was made clear in that respect. If one wants really good exhaust gasses type temperature resistance then go for the stainless ties.

    Question nylon 6.6

yes, well, not much good with foreign languages but.............. Cable tie normally black required for uv protection. Heat resistance, probably non-existent. Humidity, being a plastic product probably ok. Durable, depends on quality and price. I've seen a lot of cable ties that simply let go...

    Question nylon 6.6

That would depend entirely on whatever a " nylon 6.6 clamp" actually is, and what you intend to do with it. Perhaps look for a spec sheet on the product.

Battery Insulation resistance Caluculation [Software code ]

mmmm...yes, well I sort of hinted at leakage earlier and was thinking along the lines of lem systems used in hospital operating systems. Although similar in requirement, a little different in application. Seems furphy may have been closer to the truth than I imagined.:)

Battery Insulation resistance Caluculation [Software code ]

I don't see any point in measuring with a megger when power is connected in fact it may even damage the meter or, as I mentioned previously, any electronics on board. Have no idea where the leakage could come from. If the battery is installed in the vehicle as say negative ground, how would you...

Battery Insulation resistance Caluculation [Software code ]

Assume it's the circuit itself you need to test. Usual method to measure insulation resistance anywhere is a megger without any battery installed or power connected in the tested circuit. Naturally any electronics installed have to be taken into account and protected if necessary during any...
