Bench PS mains switch arcs when switched on...

Mains switches will arc if any noticeable load is present. It really depends on just what switch you are using for the mains as some are not really suitable. Some may be open to seeing the arc that is always present anyhow. As far as power down, it is more than likely due to the charged caps...

    12 volt door latch wiring

As I see it, a spring loaded or gravity operated door or cover could be "trip" operated by a basic solenoid but how do you close it again or is this not necessary? Perhaps all the feed is gone so no need? If closing is necessary, then a windscreen wiper motor/gearbox would be one alternative...

    24volt 3000watt inverter

Like I said, it's the voltage drop that would be of concern, not the rating of the socket.

    Induction Magneto Capacitor

Ah...ok. One wonders though why the original was only rated to 400v.

    24volt 3000watt inverter

10A on 24v is 2400W ......BUT.....there will be voltage drop between the battery and your lighter socket and any friction connection which is more of a concern. It will be more than you think. Best to keep your inverter as close as possible to the battery, perhaps using the croc clips but...

    Wireless rear speakers

Posted a problem I was trying to repair on a Panasonic SA-BT207 Blu Ray dvd player a while back. Problem was a power board which smoked and I replaced quite a few components but it never wanted to come back to life. Question is, would anyone know about the wireless rear speaker system these...

If it is a points capacitor as I suspect it is, would the x2 cap range be just as acceptable.

Load monitoring for new Extension power cables

Link not working for some reason. By site, I'm assuming construction site. Just for a side note, in Aus, the lead must be used on a safety switch/ breaker or combo unit. Leads cannot extend further than 30 ft /10m unless and additional portable safety switch is used. None of us leckys could...

Wife of a mate of mine came in one day saying she had made $50 for the day. AS she had not worked a day in her life we just had to ask..........o_O Turns out she had been on a spending (or rather sale ) spree. She says" I saved $10 on this and so much on that etc... which all together adds up to...

Starter Project: Camera and Live Feed

Complex place to begin. Can you turn on an LED within specs? Most don't even bother as the system you describe is already available at low cost, assembled and working, usually uC controlled for a mass of options. An example is a Banggood camera for FPV which costs $7.00 and associated display...

When learning to fly over 50 years ago, 1/2 hour was spent before flight watching a type of record that played on a large av cabinet. May have been a cd forerunner like the dragons lair laser disc. Anyhow it was later transferred to 3.5 fdd which I still have copies and run occasionally. Quite...
