    My Lab

Hi Zeppelin, Thanks, yes I know how to make a panorama picture and I could borrow a tripod but my cellphone don’t have the 1/4” thread to fit it anyway.

Hi prateek, There is nothing wrong with the picture, it’s perfectly clear! Is it blurred……  what have you been drinking?  ;D

    IC Help

Hi rybitski, As Staigen suggested, find a “starter” book and get right in to it! And maybe you should take a look at this site too:  http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/electricCircuits/ You will find six good books to download free, this will give you a good start! Please let us know how you are...

Hi gogo, Where did you find this circuit, does it come with the software? What is suppose to happen when you push the buttons?

    DC brush motor speed control

Hi Art, The current at startup is hard to predict, it depends on the load and the setting of the speed (PWM) and also the inertia of the pump. You can use the PWM control to “softstart” but if the motor is stalled or the inertia of the pump is very high the motor might get damaged. The distance...

    Automate Machine

Hi privas, I think this is overkill for an application like this, but for fun as a hobby project it might be interesting to try.

    My Lab

Hi Rhonn, I can see your computer is light-years faster than mine. I also noticed that you covered any angle in your shop which I tried to avoid in mine! You know I have one more bench (not shown in the pic), at least I think it’s still there under tons of parts and stuff! ;D

    My Lab

Hi Staigen, Oh that computer, I only use that one for Flukeview and a couple of other measuring related software’s. It’s a 233MHz picked up from the trashbin running W98 and DOS 6.2 for some apps, runs rock solid. I have a few newer computers too. ;D

    Who invented the transistor, really?

You are perhaps thinking of Mervin Kelly? As far as I know he was theorizing about the “semiconductor” in the 1930:s but there where no practical working model until Shockley,  Brattain and Bardeen built it…….. or was there? Do you suggest that the Nobel prize was given to the wrong people?

    DC Motors

The LM350 or the LM338 are alternatives but they are very expensive compared to one LM317 and one power transistor if money is an object!? Not any of the regulators are needed if PWM is used though. 8)

Hi Staigen, Do you mean: Shockley or  Brattain or Bardeen?  ;)
