    restoring old garage door opener-receiver/transmitter

Can you see a relay that operates when the remote is pressed. if so you can just use one of the key fob remotes off ebay even if 4 channel, just use the one. You would need a 12vdc supply also. They are down to around $5.00 now. M.

    restoring old garage door opener-receiver/transmitter

60hz is the supply, the TX/RX frequency would most likely be 72Mhz at that time. ebay 263069373827 this is a 4 ch, but there are 1channel as well. M.

    restoring old garage door opener-receiver/transmitter

I picked up one of the 433mhz keyfob transmitters and receivers for about $8.00 on ebay, they can be set for momentary or maintained (push-on/push-off) The one you have is probably in the 72Mhz range. If you just need to duplicate a momentary relay contact, then they should work. M.,

    Momentary power supply for doorbell

It is possible that your doorbell is AC, which eliminates the use of a capacitor, in any case that most likely would be good for one shot only, if DC bell, it might pay to look at a rechargeable battery backup. M.

    Color coded rotary encoder

+1, The link shows them as: "These are the four rotary Controller pots used in the E-MU Vintage Keys. All the Controllers, including the Volume, use the same 10kΩ, linear-taper pot" For comparison, (difference) look up 'Quadrature encoder'. M.

220volt (EU socket) drill on 12 volt

If it is a 220v motor and has brushes it is a Universal (series field) motor. They do run on AC & DC but you would need 220v regardless. M.

TRIAC PCB has blown component- please identify.

VDR - Voltage Dependent Resistor, for suppression, often when they do their job, they are sacrificed in the process! The circuit should work without it for trial purposes. M.

Single phase induction motor won't stop rotating

Certainly does not look like an induction motor controller, in fact the 1ph version does not control well at all, like its 3ph cousin does using a VFD. Even using a Triac does not work well with a induction motor over a certain HP, only the shaded pole and PSC motor does. Are you sure it is not...

    Switches

The Telemecanique ZB2B series of panel mount switches have a L-R spring return to centre version, you can add switch sections as needed. They are now second sourced out of China so you can get them on ebay if needed. If the right type, I have quite a few surplus, I believe I still have that...
