    I have a selection of screwdrivers that show blow marks on them from pulling that trick. The capacitor charge is only dangerous if it is charged to a high level. Over 50v is considered a dangerous level. M.

    Incidentally where did you get the information on the voltage level for the Prox inputs? I see nothing in the manual to indicate it at all, just that they are sinking to D Ccom. M.

    Unfortunately a typical Chinese manual, no details on the input that I can see? You can often overcome these issues in the future if using a 2 wire prox. M.

    Do you have a part No of the board you are using?? Two open collectors can normally be paralleled or OR'd either one or both with trip the input. M.

    Why not wire the drill permanently on and fit a on/off switch on the band saw. Also the drill can be dimmer controlled for variable speed, if needed. Plus your weed eater is not going to be variable speed. M.

    Its also a microwave!;) Usually the cap or even the transformer. There are exceptionally high voltages present, so care is needed. If it doesn't grill or M.W. then it could be the thermal sensors. M.

    Yes, 2 & 9 are the coil, pin 1 is the normally close (N.C.), pin 10 is the N.O. If using it in a sensitive environment, it is wise to wire a reverse biased rectifier across the coil. Google BEMF diode. M.

    BOB is Break-out-Board in CNC parlance. The nature of the board or BOB input would clarify what is needed, if anything, to interface the Prox. M.

    The part that moves between the contacts and is attracted by the coil is called the Armature, pins 5 & 6 are the armature common. M.

    You can OR open collector outputs, What do you mean go through a 7805 (regulator)? Your CNC BOB will need to be sinking input due to the sensors being source (PNP) devices. M.

    I think Motorola had high hopes for this IC, even to the extent of offering a free PWM development board, of which I still have mine, but for some reason it did not seem to take off. M.
