    110VAC to 130VDC motor

There are many if you Google, look for Triac controller with bridge. With this type of control I would ensure no flywheel and always start with pot at zero. In the DWG size the power components accordingly. M.

    110VAC to 130VDC motor

That is a fairly hefty motor, if running off of 120vac you will need a 30amp outlet. One cheap way may be a Triac controller similar to used on Universal motor power tools, but with a 30a min. bridge on the output, Remove the flywheel if fitted. Ensure the rpm pot is at zero when first powering...

Need help cross referencing and sourcing pcb relays

There are several Zettler relays on ebay, also a email to Zettler may provide a N.A. source. The 18v is not a common value, mostly 12v & 24v, so you may have to track down a Zettler source. M.

Need help finding replacement transformer for oven control board

It might pay to take the primary and secondary voltage readings, if it ever happens again, you most likely would get a Hammond Txfr for 1/10 of the board cost. M.

Need help cross referencing and sourcing pcb relays

A couple of major sources is Omron, Potter & Brumfield etc, If requiring items fairly promptly, I usually shop Digikey, they have standard $8.00 shipping and overnight delivery to Canada, no brokerage etc. Others take a little longer, ebay etc. Often the vent is not removed, it is fitted to...

Need help cross referencing and sourcing pcb relays

If these relays are of the optional vented type, maybe the small vent pip was not snapped off, This can shorten the life of the relay if left sealed, in some case where life if the relay is short, it might pay to vent them, even if of the non-vented type. Keeping them sealed when using the...

Need help cross referencing and sourcing pcb relays

By the look of the footprint/spec in the catalogue, you should not have much problem sub'ing them if needed. M.

Need help cross referencing and sourcing pcb relays

As a last resort, look for a relay that has close specs and footprint, in many cases it is fairly easy to do a slight modification on the board to accommodate the replacement. There are many suppliers of these type of cheap PCCT relays from ebay to DigiKey. For any slight re-design of the PCCT...

    DIY wire insulation/enamelling

Personally I would be hesitant to try and insulate that length for greater than 1Kv insulation. I could see the cost easilly being equal to a commercial product. What is the application? M.

What voltage? Conditions exposed to? Shielding required? Any reason for not using a commercial product? M.

    Trans hum

If this is an off the shelf triac style dimmer then they require AC to work, if the ouput of your SMPS is DC then NO. M.

    Trans hum

Pick up a standard 220v to 24v transformer, that should work better. M.,

    Trans hum

Looks like a wrong mixture, without a diag. it is hard to diagnose, but a triac would not work that well with a SMPS. (switch mode power supply). M.

    Trans hum

Do you have the control on the pri or sec side? Are you using a Triac? M.

    Trans hum

Most foam cutters use a Triac on the primary, this causes hum at low setting due to the short pulse length. Those I have put together, I have used the triac on the secondary side. Eliminates the problem! M.

    Dumbwaiter Logic Circuit

Most control logic now is 24vac or dc, with DC being the more prevalent. For all the interlocking you are using, I would hesitate to do it purely by relay and limit switch alone. , Even a small system like this would benefit by some kind of logic controller. If for no other reason that making...

    Air Pump

Yes, you can also do it with a BLDC to determine the pole count, i.e. short the three stator winding connections and rotate 1 revolution and count the 'bumps'. Most of the 555 PWM controllers from the Far East do not go that high in voltage and also require a DC supply, the ones I have checked...

    Capacitor help

My choice in N.A. is DigiKey. There should be quite a few selections on their site. If you notice, there is a black bar at one end, this is the ground or chassis connection end. Looks like it may be a suppression cap. M.

    Air Pump

There is now 230vdc motors used in these type of appliances, they use a triac in series with a bridge, with the motor on the bridge output. If you have access to the motor leads and short them together and detect any resistance when spinning the shaft, then it points to a P.M. DC motor. M.
