    Servo Motor Controler help.

The joystick would need to be the pot kind rather than the on/off sw type. Beware of starter motors, some are series motors and not suitable, if P.M., then maybe OK. Another source with gearbox is a bumper winch type. M..

    Motor speed help

A simple PWM controller designed around a 555 is a simple approach, there are many designs out there and $5.00 ones on ebay. M.

    Servo Motor Controler help.

I don't see a servo necessary for that application, it most likely would be position controlled visually, I would guess. Auto wreckers are a source of 12vdc motors, for controllers there are $5.00-$10.00 PWM types, the only thing to add would be a reversing relay. M.

Control Circuit for a ( Linear motion ) Motor

Forgot: on the subject of power you could just use a simple step down transformer and a bridge rectifier, the ebay type controllers usually have any capacitors built in. This is if the chair is used in just one permanent location. M.

Control Circuit for a ( Linear motion ) Motor

One based on this circuit http://www.discovercircuits.com/DJ-Circuits/simplepwm2.htm Or they are about $5.00 on ebay DC PWM controller. You would need to add a reversing relay, however. M.

    How to create a magnetizer

That is also the basis for a stud welder, the discharge is usually done with a high power SCR. A contactor is a industrial strength relay and used for that purpose would require a very specialized DC version with arc chutes and arc blow out of some kind. M..

    Pfaff sewing machine capacitor

I seem to recall as similar post recently on an identical problem, unless it was another site. It is a Universal motor, and as such kicks out a lot of (electrical) noise, you can make up a filter/snubber with individual caps, ensure you use AC rated caps as used in PSC AC motors. M.

help identifying the soft start for angle grinder circuit main component number

Not IMO, there are many applications where a Pic is used for Triac control with a 120hz ripple input directly to the Pic for zero cross detection, in fact I am working on such an application right now, based on both Picmicro app notes and other designs out there on the web. Also that shows 5v...

help identifying the soft start for angle grinder circuit main component number

That has all the appearances of a 12Fxxx Microchip, The μp is not going to do you much good without the source code. The symbol is wrong for a Triac, it shows a SCR. M.

Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) Motor Controller

For one-off's I use Stripboard Prototyping Boards Halfway down the page. Use a 1/8th drill to open a trace, the holes can be opened up to accommodate terminal strip etc. Use a Box cutter knife to run down between each strip to check for shorted strips that may occur. There is also strip board...

Trying To Determine Potentiometer Needed For Grizzly G8691 Lathe

They are not critical, 5k to 10k should work and are fairly common, linear as opposed to logarithmic type used for audio etc. Roughly means that the linear type, the centre slider type increases in resistance in a linear fashion from one end to the other, e.g. a 10k pot would be 5k at centre...

Shaded Pole Fan Motor - Speed Control Question

If you have any friends that are RC aficionado's, you could check to see if they have a prop balancer, if so, this could be used for a balancing attempt of the fan. M.

Will this still work with a more powerful motor?

Of course it is relevant to your question! You supposedly are worried about using larger motors, I pointed out that you can use the same or smaller motors if gearing is used up to the required speed. M.
