AC motor speed controller as a regulated transformer?

That appears to be a SCR (probabally Triac) controller intended for a Universal motor, the output will not be a pure sinusoidal, if that is what you are looking for. You can get the power tool version for around $25-$35. M.

    DC Motor Driver (SCR type)

That is a common method of DC motor control, see KB products, but generally the two SCR's are part of the bridge to save on components, the bridge in the diag does not appear to be doing anything? Some components seeming redundant? M.

    Help with solid state relays

I take a 3 posn ON-ON-ON switch to be a three position switch with 3 distinct switches at each position, which are quite common especially in the rotary variety. It could also have a single common. M.

    Speed-controller for AC brushed motor

You can get a Triac based controller suitable for Universal motor power tools for around $30 -$50. Same as a lamp dimmer but higher current rating. If you want one with feedback then look at the SuperPID site. M.

Questions about circuitry for making a cabinet fan

I see galvanic isolation using a relay or SSR? where is the common ground point? I have used a 3.5mm jack to provide power to a small servo system with no problems. Also have you considered whether the the fan in this application requires to provide positive pressure to the enclosure? M.

Questions about circuitry for making a cabinet fan

Why do you need the outlet fed fan source? Personally I would have picked up the relay direct from the P.S 12v connector or the fan direct from it. What is the object? Seems a very convoluted way of doing things. M.

    What Is This

Yes, an old trick to insure polarity to a device regardless of the DC input supply polarity. M.

    Help with 3v relay

I would have done a resistance check just to make sure, if you have a Diode range, this passes a small current through the device and shows the voltage drop across the contacts. If you do not have then just a simple ohms test. M.

    Help with 3v relay

Those relays have a 3v version, if you have this one check the resistance across the contacts when energized you may be using the wrong contact pair? M.

Can anyone help help me with a Gear Ratio?

Not always, gearing is applied to any increase/decrease in ratio of a drive system, in this case the ratio element is used on its own which is meaningless without acting in conjunction with any other drive element. M.

    220v to 110v circuit

It appears to have a switching supply, you could try it on 120. Although the unit is rated at 600w the current for a local supplied 600w pad would be twice the current. Will be 1/2 if original pad.. Max.

Is this a thermostat device of some kind? Is there heating elements involved? More would have to be known about the device itself. M.

    Diode bridge

There are KB controllers on ebay that will do the trick, they run directly off the mains supply, similar to the original T.M. controller, you can confirm any model as to being SCR or PWM by looking up the model No. details on the KB site. I have not come across any wound field DC motors for some...

Trying to find a comparable relay

Trying to find a comparable relay

Unfortunately it looks like a custom rack for the relays making it difficult to sub, there are many N.A. relays that will do the job, in a pinch if you are sure the relay is the problem, I would tend to cannibalize the suspect relay and leave just the base with the plug in blades, from there I...
