motor and pumps use 2 x 115 v ac and this is problem

If you have line and neutral it should not matter which line you connect the neutral to. In N.A. the unit would only have three supply lines also but 2 (240v) live conductors and a earth ground. In your situation the unit will see 1 live and 1 neutral (240v) this will appear the same AFA the...

motor and pumps use 2 x 115 v ac and this is problem

I agree they should work, N.A. is 60Hz 240vac 1ph with centre tap for 120v, don't you have 50Hz in greece? If so the motors if induction type will run a little slower, and could run at a slightly higher temp. Something you may want to monitor. M.

old garage door opener circuit board

Sounds like you are getting a little over sensitive, my purpose was not to contradict your reasoning, just to inform on the type of supply experienced by N.A. subscribers. If you were already aware of this then simply say so without the need for dramatics!. M.

old garage door opener circuit board

Incidentally the OP shows US origin so the standard is 120/240, US/N.A. domestic supply consists of a 240v C.T. transformer, where the C.T. is a grounded neutral, unlike U.K. for instance where it is a 240v single phase of a 3ph transformer with a star neutral.;) M.

old garage door opener circuit board

Most of N.A. is now 120v/240v domestic supply, this can vary up or down depending on the quality of the service and often on local demand. M.

Replacing power supply for halogen bulb

I suspect your power one supply is SMPS and due to the high inrush of a Halogen lamp (current x14) it shuts it down. Unless the fan is DC you can operate on a simple 120v/24v transformer if you require DC then just place a bridge rectifier on the output, you will need to size the components for...

    Identifying electrical component

I suspect it may be an OEM part and nothing I have ever come across including parts catalogues such as Digikey etc. What is the name/type of equipment it comes from. M.

    What is that

Also know as a knife switch or switched disconnect, they are still sold in Electrical hardware stores, often with fuses 1ph or 2 pole.. Not much to figure out on how it works! Flip the handle up or down to turn On/OFF! M.

    CRT High Voltage Power Supplies

The Tv High voltage tube final anode is the inside wall of the tube consisting of an aquadag coating for the positive HV supply in order to accelerate the beam toward the phosphor coating , the outside wall (crt) is coated with aquadag connected to chassis GND. This forms a large capacitor, as...

    Debugging a sugar cube relay

What I would do is first remove the AC side completely and check continuity from both in and out for 0 ohms when the relay is energized. M.

    Arduino, what is it ?

In some case a micro can be a little over-kill depending on the task, in some cases it can be done with a couple of discrete IC.'s. PWM is Pulse Width Modulation for variable current control of a power device, DC motor for e.g., if you Google PWM you will see lots of links. M.

Coils can take on other shapes, but you cannot stray too far from the original tuned frequency of the combined coil/capacitors. I would be interested to know the size and value of the Caps used in those. M.
