Can I use a blender motor as a fan?

This motor in particular or Universal motors in general? A vast majority of hand/mains power tools routers, spindles are controlled this way? M.

    Mitsubishi commissioning tool component identification

I can 'bear' with you but I draw the line at getting naked!! The only hope you have is probably identifying the larger SMT components, mosfets etc and attempting a replacement. Good luck. M.

Single Digit Seven Segment Display Scoreboard HELP!!

It would be a trivial task in one of the μprocessors, I use Picmicro's but there may be a bit of learning curve if you have not used these in the past, there is also Arduino, which i have not used but is popular. M.

    I can't find a replacement potentiometer

Digikey has a selection, you may have to adapt one if not quite the same. http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/EVU-F2AF30B14/P3C3103-ND/243605 M.

Can I use a blender motor as a fan?

As pointed out in post #13 a simple dimmer should suffice. Resister will not work at all well and be very inefficient , especially if you want rpm control M.

Can I use a blender motor as a fan?

The blender has a Universal motor which operates in a run away condition, i.e. rpm controlled by load, so if the load is less for the fan, it will possibly run quite a bit higher, a simple Triac style dimmer can control the rpm to a satisfactory level, also the fan operation should self cool the...

    3 Phase rectification problem

Three phase unsmoothed ripple is only 5% compared to 1ph which is 100%, so charge current should be minimal. M.

Choice of a Stepper Motor Driver

The drive has to be configurable to your motor spec, and in some cases requires adding a small value resistor based on the motor spec, or DIP sw etc. Those drives may work if configurable, but something like the Gecko's are a good choice...

Need some Relay advice .. Please help !!

I still don't know why you can't come off/tap into the same switch as the dimmer? It usually has a S.P.S.T. switch on the back of the pot to turn off the 240v to the triac circuit. And switch into whatever device/transformer/supply you have feeding the low voltage unit?? M.

    3 Phase rectification problem

The ripple frequency of rectified full wave 3ph is 360Hz. Sounds like you have a delta supply, a neutral may not be necessary for three phase full wave rectification, but if a ground is required, it would either be one intersection of two phases or the star point, if star secondary. It sounds...

Choice of a Stepper Motor Driver

The current to a stepper should be be controlled by the stepper drive to remain constant throughout the rpm range, this is achieved by a using a high than rated stepper voltage and PWM to control the mean current to this level. If the current is exceeded burn out can occur, less than rated...

12V 200A Synchronous PWM DC Motor Controller

Probabally more details have to be known about any present controller, I would think that essentially you need feed back of some kind on both units, and either have one master and slave or use a μp to synchronize each to a set rpm. M.

Need some Relay advice .. Please help !!

If this is a TRIAC style dimmer with a linear pot for manual control, why not put a switched pot in and use the switch to control the LED circuit similar to standard light dimmers, if already used, then you may find a DP version or use the present switched portion to control a relay. . If this...

12V 200A Synchronous PWM DC Motor Controller
