Adding Frequency Scanning to any AM/FM/SW Radio

I would like to adapt standard AM/FM radios with a circuit that sweeps the radio thru either the AM or FM band (Depending on if the radio is in the AM or FM mode). The speed of the sweep needs to be adjustable, and needs to be able to be added to most solid state radios. The attatched filehas...

Adding Frequency Scanning to any AM/FM/SW Radio

ok, so lets say that I used either a dedicated IC, how would I do this? or a specific, variable capacitor tuned radio

Adding Frequency Scanning to any AM/FM/SW Radio

I need a circuit that can be added to any recent AM/FM/SW Radio. It should allow the scanning speed to be variable, as well as reversing the scanning (highest to lowest/lowest to highest). Any ideas? Thanks in advance:confused:

    Video over laser

Ok, so I figured out a way to do this, with my own tiny little brain. There are composite audio video in composite A/V output units transmission over Fibre Optic sold for security purposes. Hopefully this will work.

    Video over laser

To wrap up all your replies, I do have laser goggles, this is an experiment where I cannot use wi fi, or BluTooth, and I can use a ultra-bright LED instead of a laser.

    Video over laser

I would like to send video over a short length (12 inches). Is there any way to do this inexpensively? I was thinking of using the laser/receiver units of a dvd p[layer, but then I thought that the DVD player may not respond without seeing an actual dvd, and its regional data in its proper...

    9014 Direct Replacement???

I attempted using a MOSFET (5305) which didnt work. I can only guess that the modulation effect cannt drive it properly. Is the drive transistor that you have supplied in your schematic a Power Transistor? Which would you suggest? Thank you fellow Canadian

    9014 Direct Replacement???

So can I use a Power Transistor at the 9V on this circuit, and if so, can you suggest one. Thanks Audio Guru, as usual, you are the master of all

    9014 Direct Replacement???

Dont get what you are saying, nobody has pecifically said what is driving it

    9014 Direct Replacement???

Here it is, its not very exacting as far as components go

    9014 Direct Replacement???

Ok, simple question, I have a 9v circuit that flashes a led. The output of the LM358 is a 9014 transistor. I want to add more LEDs but the 9014 gets a little warm....is there a power transistor that can directly replace it????

CHARGING OF EVIL FUTABA BATTERY PACK

I have a Futaba Battery Pack that is a plastic-wrapped cabal of 8-AA batteries, marked Ni-Cad 9.6V 700Ma. I would like a cheap and easy schematic for a charger for this. Thanks in advance Kim

novelty led blinker, how is it done?

Some of the ICs that are used in Solar Garden Lights have an option to be used as a LED flasher as well. Either disconnecting, or connecting a pin on the IC would enable either flashing, or steady-on. I purchased a Fake LED flasher that is meant to mimic a Car alarm warning system, that flashed...

    SERVO POSITIONING??

I would like to attempt to simulate a Tank Barrel Kick Back, using a servo. While I know that this can be done simply using a microcontroller, I have no knowledge of doing so, so I would like to do so with standard components. Is it possible to use a basic 555 servo driver circuit, along with...

Remote control not powering on! Help me please!

I would suggest that you may have cooked the Bayang toys transmitter. Remove the added cicuit , and see if it works then...if not , you have cooked it. You would probibly do better using a cheap wireless wi-fi repeater.

Any help on id of this semiconductor?

This Transistor comes up as extinct. It says that its: PNP germanium junction transistor intended for audio preamplifier or audio driver applications and having a maximum power dissipation rating of 50 milliwatts or more So whatcha think its replacement would be??
