Possible to up Amperage of a 12V 500mA wall wart?

connect it (with the loudspeakers) and measure the amps is a good suggestion !

Possible to up Amperage of a 12V 500mA wall wart?

No in power supplies all component are dimensioned for the rated power, none can be reused to go to 10A from 0.5A a linear power is the easier to build (doesn't mean cheap) Olivier

Possible to up Amperage of a 12V 500mA wall wart?

10 amps is a super maximum, rated for full audio power. Anyway you probably still need something in th 5 amps range which don't exist in the wall wart style. You must go for supplies like used for CB transceiver. sadly it's not a financial viable option, as "decent" stereo should be available...

Possible to up Amperage of a 12V 500mA wall wart?

Hi Steinklatre, 500mA seems not enough for a car stereo. Are they any indication on the car stereo, or a fuse in the supply line to estimate the needed current ? If not can you carefully connect it to a car battery and measure this current? Olivier

Help with DS18S20 Dual Temperature Meter

mtb54703, Don' worry about resistor values, they are tolerance applied, having 0.997 K is OK. I am not a Microchip guru but to me the circuit lack a pull-up resistor on reset pin (4), 10K to +5V will be OK, can you try that? Olivier

    Headphone amp circuit

Hi Vinod, Yes it will be OK for 32ohms load. The higher the load impedance the easier for the amplifier. Olivier

Adding RGB scart to a Sega Master System.

Hi NeilTheDruid, The RGB levels (as viewed by the TV)will be halved due to the two 75ohms resistors. What it can be done is to build a small sync extractor based on an lm1881 (just google a bit). Olivier

    Headphone amp circuit

Hi, Also they are no difference between audio amplifier and headphone amplifier. It's the available output power which determine the usage, so your query can be wider. The TBA820M it's a popular 1watt audio amplifier you can use. Olivier

    High- Voltage Adjustable Regulator

Hi, yes having two 1:2 will be OK but the rectified voltage will be quite high: (2X230)X1.41=~650 Volts, the 1:1 + 1:2 combination should better match (110+230)X1.41 ~480 Volts. Olivier

    Is there 0.01 rpm motor?

Hi Rover233! Well, geared motors should be available in many flavors, including very low RPM. also Stepping motors allow you any RPM! Any application in mind? Olivier

DIY Wii Peripheral, anybody have experience?

Hi muse7789! The PCF8591 is a popular A/D converter. You can connect your pot(s) analog or accelerometers on it. With voltage dividers it can also be used for switches. Sure you need a piece of code. Maybe Darwiin Remote have a list of supported I2C devices, if so just tell us and I will have...

    Which Multimeter

Hi lapistola, I will not have a decision based on the transistor tester availability. it' s just a nice to have, if you can offer you a Fluke, even an entry level one go ahead you will not be disappointed. You can build a small transistor checker apart. Olivier
