Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

With the handle attached but pulled back, and the Hoover upside-down (so that there is no brush friction), does the motor in the pic rotate when the Hoover is switched on (keeping fingers etc well clear!)?

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

I'm having second thoughts about there being a separate motor for the brush roller, but can't explain how the brush roller rotates (or rather used to rotate) only if the Hoover handle is pulled back, if the normal motor noise is heard with the handle upright. If the brush roller is vacuum...

Current drawn by a drone motor

Welcome to maker.pro. If the maximum Wattage W for the complete drone is known you can estimate the total maximum current drawn by the motors as W/3.7 Amps. Divide that figure by the number of motors to get the maximum current per motor. This assumes the motor currents account for most of the...

Explain "autonomy of hours of use". All batteries leak eventually. All contain something that will corrode something.

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

I'm assuming the hoover has a standard 13A UK plug and your 'voltmeter' is actually a multimeter? With the hoover unplugged from the mains , the primary switch turned on, and the hoover handle pulled back to where the brush roller should work, check for continuity (near zero Ohms resistance)...

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

Yes. Do you have a test meter to check continuity?

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

Ah, that indicates there is a rotary brush motor separate from the main suction motor. So moving the handle back must operate a switch (not the primary on/off one) in or near the handle. Perhaps the switch itself is faulty?

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

With power off, check that the wiring to that motor is secure. Check that the brushes (inside those white blocks on the left of the pic) are running smoothly on the commutator (visible through that 'window' in the motor. Does the motor shaft/pulley rotate smoothly when the belt pulley is turned...

Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller Stopped Spinning

Welcome to maker.pro! The Hoovers I've owned have never had a separate motor for the roller. Does yours? Despite appearances I suspect the drive belt has stretched. A new belt is under extremely high tension on the pulleys.

    A bicycle dynamo with 6v and 6w?

Welcome to maker.pro. You need at least 4,2V to fully charge a Li-po cell. So at 2A that would be 4.2V x 2A = 8.4W. A 6W dynamo would not be enough.

Can an electronic circuit physically expand and shrink in Size?

I think the nearest you'd get to movement of that order would be with bi-metallic strip or nitinol actuators.

    help with IR2110 chips

There are too many specific ones to make listing them worthwhile IMO, but knowing the essential operation of certain families of ICs would be useful, for example CMOS logic, op-amps, voltage regulators etc. Have you read through the Resources section of this site?

    doubt joystick battery

I doubt there is any battery, of any chemistry, that is guaranteed leak-free under all storage/usage conditions. Battery life depends, inter alia, on the manufacturer and the storage/usage conditions.

    doubt joystick battery

I don't use a joystick but have a wireless mouse which takes 2 x AAA cells. Although it was provided with two alkaline cells (each 1.5V nominal), I find it works happily down to about 1V per cell so I now use it with rechargeable NiMH cells. I'm guessing a joystick could use NiMH cells. I've...

Its strange that you have no LTS folders in your Documents path. That's where LTS puts working copies , even if you installed the LTS system elsewhere.
