BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

I can do logic with just resistor- resistor logic, and capacitor- capacitor logic, and inductor logic, they dont seem to be the usual list, but its true you can.

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Ive got a slightly different route than this for my project. > : ) Having a good computer is nice, but you can get a second hand 2.5ghz 4gb ram computer for only 5 quid down the pawn shop, so that fact makes me head off towards a more custom hardware / analogue computer / fpga route than...

Hes got a secret panel on the back that makes it run at 100 gigahertz I bet. *tap the nose*

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Its funny that you call this simple, I dont call any of it simple, I cant even get my oscillator to work... What's your finished product going to be? (Im making high hz'ing analogue physical logic physics engine simulator!!! Its gonna make me millions. just need to get things working.)...

+ and - at the bottom, and then its like an enclosed feedback machine, like an oscillator, except its a register instead, they are similar. I figure thats why they call em flip flops, cause you just invert the logic polarity of them then they oscillate, the astable multi-vibrator is a...

how did u fix it? by guarding the ground with another mosfet?

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

I know this one! its true I think. Its because if you charge and backcharge a capacitor faster at the same power you actually charge and backcharge the capacitor half as far, because it double backed on itself twice as quick. So to get the same amount of charge, at twice the hz, you have to...

Yeh but they all get less power (current divider), so what if its not enough power to run the lines anymore?

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

I think if you have a highly parallel system it has more connections to battery and they all need more and more power to run, but I dont know how much that power is. I have a gtx980 its 2048 cores and a 32 bit bus, and that comes to about 200 watts or maybe double, I cant remember. The...

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Yeh its being charged by a low amperage, so you make a low amperage constantly come out of the capacitor and it should emptyize it away. [edit] oh... yeh it would slowly leak away. if u need it to stay charged it wont work. yes it only stays on temporarily, I thought thats all you needed...

hmm must be true then. did u read my idea? (put a loop around the capacitor with a high value resistor, to discharge the leak charge.)

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

if you put a switch on the ground, then it might not. you have to switch both sides so it doesnt leak charge. yes indeed that seems perdantic, is there another solution? you could put a loop around the capacitor and as it leaks in it leaks out. but that is *kinda* complicated hehe. then...

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Yeh caps in series do, because they are in the direct path with each other, - + - +. connecto add volts. So the capacitor charges over time? How long does it take to happen? yeh sorry i didnt look at your circuit hard enough. yeh that cap might be being charged by the mosfet.

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

When the mosfet charges the capacitor, does the gate turn off? do u mean the mosfet is discharging into the capacitor? I dont know the solution to the problem, I was just curious myself. I wonder if you put a loop around the mosfet, you could make it automatically cut off and only give out...

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Having no resistance between the gate and source makes it switch quicker. means u should short mosfets, dont use resistors. and they dont dissipate (heat up), if they are like capacitors.

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Thats a really nice register, you can do an oscillator in a similar space, but I probably would like to do ram with less components than that, for the addressing my best idea yet to do a square array, then have a binary tree reducing the two axi to log steps to get to the linear words, then...

BJT vs MOSFET for logic gates help

Have u designed an addressable memory array? Awesome, they are actually similar to a monitor or a camera with vertical and horizontal addressing. Ive got a cool way of hitting the pixels (one at a time) without even a transistor opening, by just conducting vertical from + then horizontal to...

I dont know that, but I can tell you the first thing wrong with it, why are those battery lines green, they should be grey with the switch disconnected. :)
