    help with IR2110 chips

If we assume that the efficiency of a generator varies with the inverse fourth power of the air gap distance, that this is a theoretical relationship and would need to be validated with experimental data or derived from detailed modeling and analysis of the specific generator system in question...

so if I dust the magnets with a layer of iron filings then this will reduce the gap between the magnets and the coils and effectively nullify the gap

like this?? surely the frequency is 600rpm / 60 for rev/sec =10 times by norths =9 10* 9 = 90Hz or is it the amplitude which I don't get because it reads 11 but that may be because of the 11 being RMS and 15.6 is peak to peak? and I don't understand why it's 180 degrees out of phase??!!??

so what are the 15.6 and 180 for?

so ok there are starship coils wchich are by far my favourite then pancake coils, bucking coils are cool too, bifiler-coils - can be starship regular pancake all types, I also like the abha vortex coils there mad cool, to collect the collapsing transient spike better know as back EMF also there...

    yes coils are 7ohm

    help with IR2110 chips

I suppose it would be better for the sim maybe!?

    help with IR2110 chips

ok is that good? and could this change if I get the coils closer the the magnets?

I found this interesting with the different magnet arangement www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIpQQdYi1NM

so what does this say about the coil??

Mr bertus is this a good result?

your thoughts?? thanks took off the coil that was producing less going to get it as close as possible to the magnets next try

so at 600rpm it reads 11volts AC without resistor with resistor it reads 6.8volts AC working on the machine right now took the reading of the coil that put out most gut feeling tells me this is not too bad!! 100ohm resistor!

sorry for the crude drawing do I measure over the coil or with the resistor in series with the meter the grey is the resistor and the brown box represents the meter

I will check that out, what should it be vaguely? thanks

so the wheel is mounted and I mounted two coils they'er identical, however one makes 11volts AC and the othe makes near to 9volts AC going to try and reduce the gap between the coils and the magnets next but as of yet the initial reading doesn't differ that much from the 8 magnet-a-side wheel at...

so last night when mounting the new wheel I had a disaster the thing broken some of the plastic so spent 45 mins this morning fixing and making more sturdy have to fit the coils and the run it up the balancing seems better with this new wheel thoughand so now it should be better than before
