    PWM on 12volt winch?

oh I put the max amperage at 20 and multiplied by 12 for power equals 240watt so I thought the 300watt pot would work, I don't know what SCR is can you recommend a different one

    PWM on 12volt winch?

No I want to gradually increase the speed of the winch, not just on or off, to take out the jerk, for that project a jerk would cause damage! when the winch turns on it immediatly goes from 0 m/s to 10.5 m/s I need it to be gradual! I have thought about it a lot to be fair

    PWM on 12volt winch?

so that is really taking my interest can you draw up a rudementary picture with labels on a paint diagram please like a rough guide of the steps involved, thanks

    PWM on 12volt winch?

I have bought the winch a while ago and it's being stored at my friends till I come to use it. I'm just getting ready for when I do use it. this seems like a good way to go, any controllers in mind? I would like push buttons to gradually increase current with each press and one to do down or a...

    PWM on 12volt winch?

good man! I missed that, so what does that suggest, motor type wise? wait that was stupid it's a permanent magnet motor can you you PWM on that?

    PWM on 12volt winch?

ok been searching all day can anybody tell me where to get a variable speed winch or how to determine the type of motor that I have, to then move on to how to tackle the task of making a PWM controller please, thanks

    help with IR2110 chips

ok so the analogue meter has arrived waiting on coils but they could take anywhere from today and the 3rd of march!! no good! so I bought two more coils and some mild steel ferrite welding rods for the cores, this should balance up all of the coils on the machine!!

    help with IR2110 chips

I have made the inverter from the IR2110's and now know how to connect the coil arrangement along with a small modification to the diode bridge, and the addition of the two resistors ( 1 ohm and 100 ohm) ( I don't know the wattage that the resistors should be ) got a new tranny on the way and...

    PWM on 12volt winch?

so then if I were to use the ferrari analogy where can I get a variable speed winch from? and I'll just buy one of those just throwing it out there not asking you to look for me I will research on my own also but if you do know where on the off chance. I am struggling to find one!!
