    220v leg isolation

I put a new motor in my furnace last summer, and there was a fuse burned out last week I put a new one in, and now the motor won't run. I have been without heat over the weekend. And am suspecting the capacitor. It is a brand new large furnace squirrel cage fan motor, that is said to be a...

There is only one word to describe the new electrical and electronic devices.... FLIMSY.... Pic 1 flimsy new busted wall heater... Pic 2 old style still going strong Here is my viral..."the stuff is so flimsy that I give the e- industry less than a decade before it all comes crashing back to...

    Heat element requirements

With today's new ' all in one c elements this may be obsolete, but... If an element end disconnects from the coil array, and it's a " new style " with all the sensors and thermofuses and all... What are the requirements for reconnect? Like the style of lugs and/or solder type for repairs...

Perception... Ah yes, the days when all there was on the internet to surf was a magazine index called...tada infotrak.!! I used to spend many hours hoping I would be able to go to the library and study something...anything that required the computer! Perception was put on a chip by Intel...yes...

    American 220 wall heater problem...

Thermostats are fine. I found on one of the heaters the thermocouple that heats up before the fan turns on is already on, so it's shorted out. Because these aren't made to repair, they sell the entire element package as one unit. Where a person might get some thermocouples like these is...

    American 220 wall heater problem...

Thermocouple burned out. I'm lucky I had a spare. Haven't tested it yet but I'm fairly certain that is what happened.

    American 220 wall heater problem...

The little fan motor is reading 171 ohms. I did the math. That's what a 33v motor is supposed to have. A 240v motor that uses .195a.is supposed to have 1230ohms. What gauge wire do I rewrap the coil with? What ohms should a 220 fan motor readout? This one here is impossible to read. I need...

    American 220 wall heater problem...

The 220v thermostat on my wall heater is obsolete, and I am having problems finding a replacement. I have maybe 5 of these heaters, and they all need the thermostat. Can you help me to diagnose and test these? I checked the resistance, tested the motor, the heating element still has...

Dry run protection for DC Solar Pump sourcing water from a borehole

Put in a larger sump just for the pump. Inline pumps are fine until you need more than an on/ off, so there's basically only one option. Dig a pool large enough for your float valve, and install the switch. It's mostly laborious, the float you will need to invent. Otherwise, put a check...

The board has some pinouts on one of the 11 pin connectors that I don't know. They say C-FG, F-FG, that probably means Freezer-FG, R-FG,(R for refridgerator)and CV-FG for the flex/cold room/laugering room, and ICE-FG.. But what does FG stand for?

These are not keyed, and there are 2 two pins and 4 four pins. They effect defrost heating, door heating, H/B heating( whatever that is) Com1 and Com1, the ice maker it's auger, and ice release heater, the water delivery system and 2 sub heaters. Yes I would say that could be the fix I am...

A second theory is based on the fact that many of these fridges failed... Maybe in assembly, someone in the assembly line plugged it in wrong, and in trying to get it to work, thinking the software was bogus, they adapted the board to function in a compatible mode to recoup their losses...

Now I remember something about talkback... I asked about why they had radio sets TX and RX on a control board, and they said "talkback. You will see more of this....." this means that the board can't know what its doing without knowing what the sensors are saying, and that is done with...

Electric Blanket Repair - Perfect Fit Controller

Hey doc. These new electronics boards are micro-minitureized and don't use a standard signal to drive them. If(I repeat IF) you are older, it sometimes takes a few hours for the circuit to completetly boot before it will work, so plug it in, turn it on and come back in a few hours. Usually...
