Multiple interrupt functions but one interrupt vector

It's late here now so what I will do is ask some friends at work in the morning for you. Someone may come back with the answer before then. Cheers Adam

Multiple interrupt functions but one interrupt vector

Have a look at the interrupt part of this link, maybe it will help? http://www.xargs.com/pic/c-faq.html#c18isr Cheers Adam

    SCR latching trouble

Is it possible the IR transistor is actually turning the SCR off by starving current to the bottom PN junction of the device when IR transistor turns back on. This would explain why the push switches work. Connect a resistor between the gate of the SCR and collector of the transistor, try a 2K2...

Operating something when furnace fan is on

Would the fan have strong enough air flow to move the prop of another smaller fan. You could then sense the voltage produced from the second fan to trigger a circuit containing a relay or something that can be used as a switch for your new fan? Cheers Adam

what is the difference/s if i use a thyristor instead of the transistor in this circuit?

If you can supply enough current to trigger the gate then the Thyristor will latch on and stay on until the current through the device falls below its holding current. This type of device is also called an SCR. Thanks Adam

basic electronics question: types of oscillators

What makes you think a 2.4 GHz computer is running at 2.4 GHz? The speed of a computer is an equivalent speed as if it was running on 2.4GHz. The clock speed will be a lot less. A computer clock is not a rf transmitter and falls under the EMC directive for IT equipment and not the RED...
